Big Phil, SANFL website has Thomas Dunne down for 4 goals, which one is correct?

Best performance by far for the Dogs.

I was gutted at quarter time to be a goal down, we had enough of the play and were a tad unlucky (the Dunne goal) we should have been at worse level with North.

But full credit they just kept going and got the rewards for their tackling and pressure.

No surprise the results have come since we have built the side around the back 6, great decision imho by Lairdy to leave Hardy at full back and started Collier and Templeton in the forward lines (if only Templeton played infront of his man)

Both Guilhaus and Dowdell were extremely good and won the hitouts while managing to go down and kick a goal each, i think they assisted at least one each as well.

Josh Glenn, Prior, Waldhutter and Reichart are just getting better as every week goes by. Hardy did well to keep Stewart to one goal (if Stewart could kick he could be anything, im yet to see a more athletic, fitter better 200cm forward in the SANFL than him, boy he works hard.)

Dutschkes' attack on the ball was great, we really have missed his hardness around the contest.

Anyway 5 in a row, Port at home next week which we 'should' win and the top 3 dream is still alive.

The free kick, in the back, against Nathan Gordon in the last quarter was worth the price of admission by itself. What a ludicrous call. Best mark I've seen this year.

Well done to the dogs. Smashed North today.

Once again, North let an opportunity slip to put a gap in the comp. Has happened countless times over the last 8-9 years. Another big game next week against a much improved Sturt.

The umpire indicated because he put his hands on the shoulders first. Agreed, let it go, don't take it out of the game.

I actually thought it was a free, was a great mark but he did go about it slightly the wrong way and as an unskilled player that was always caught under good players taking marks like that I thought it was the right decision but only just in this case. ;)

Poor bloke. That cost him the car ;)
Lol at the goal umpire that couldn't see the Tommy Dunne goal and gave a point after consulting with the other umpires.

Tom Dunne kicked 3 goals, 6 behinds this afternoon...

Champion Data got him confused with another Tom - Collier...

Tom Collier actually kicked 2, but Champion Data had him down for one, so obviously that was the extra Dunne one...

Not if you are referring to my on-air comments today on LifeFM. Happy to admit I was wrong there and it was mistaken identy...

I made the comment based on some retaliation that I saw from Paul Thomas, who was angry at Gordon about something. It was alleged by a Dogs official that they saw Miles tread on Boyd's rib cage region when he was on the deck...

I've just watched a replay of that passage of play (and the fight afterwards) and there could be a few in trouble, possibly including Jenner? But it is SANFL so who knows? Time will tell whether or not there are any reports out of it or not...

Still eligible at the moment then.

Your comments on radio was that it was right in front of you and it was Nathan Gordon. Sorry for being confused. ;)

The mark was definitely a free. Got a great leap and a sensational ride, but he used his hands. As soon as you do that it's a free and has been for years. However spectacular it might be afterwards, it's just not within the rules and I agree that you shouldn't be able to use your hands.

Boyd got crunched in a contest with a few other players around and went down right away. The play then went away and Boyd was still on the ground. Miles then looked at him and gave him one in the ribs while he was on the ground. Absolute dog act. The bloke was clearly hurt, the ball had moved well away and it was so deliberate and late that there can be no doubt about his intentions. It's pathetic enough to see a big bloke whack a little bloke but to wait until someone's on the ground hurt to get one in, what a weak, weak man.
