Just interested if the Metro South lads had to pay for their gear like the NEMJFA lads who got slugged $50

From a Metro South point of view, if we can be competitive in these games I think we've done really well considering the size difference between the leagues.

Get around the u13s!

Do all the metro and near metro leagues play against each other? Or is this just a one-off day?

Good luck to the CLG lads in the under 11's, Jordan and Jack, ripping kids. Jordan my pick for BOG (if they have one)

That old chestnut.
Does that mean the southern boys are strong?
I know the Northern boys didn't take any of their SANFL players so as that other lads got a crack.
Southern boys do the same or full strength?

Yeh right.
Far too good for NEMJFA.
One comp picked their best side the other didn't. Why I don't know.
MSJFL by about 15 goal.
Good effort by the Northern boys though.

Apologise if that offended anyone wasn't meant to; was more a Social Justice question especially for those off us that live in the North
Just hope no kid missed out because parents simply couldn't afford it

Our U/18's are going well thanks for asking

I agree.
How is that interpreted as sticking the boots in?

Think you will find EM that alot of the NEMJFA clubs have paid for or have reimbursed parents for that cost

Alot of clubs in the NEMJFA gave the lads that aren't in development squads etc the chance to play in a higher comp.

Cant see anything wrong with that. I watched a couple of games on Sunday and if the NEMJFA had their best squad in the U13 they would have won in a canter

Clubs chose to rest those that are playing in development squads and hoped that those that played in this comp gained something from it

NEMJFA has 3 divisions in their comp and a number played from the white Div (lowest grade) and walked off holding their heads high

It's representive footy not let's give everyone a go.
If you heard the speeches after the U/16 game then you would have heard the Northern hierarchy admit fault.
I'm sure that wont be happening again even though the lads that played could hold their heads high after the game.

Northerns picked a side that represented nearly all clubs not their best side. That's why it was below the the standard of the Southern boys.
I noticed your from Greenies who don't have an U/16 side that's probably why there was no invite sent. No idea about your lads in that case.
