I have heard colleagues complain about their frustration in not being able to do their job as well as they would like, due to workloads. I've never heard a colleague say that people in other occupations don't work hard or don't have big workloads.

4. Wonder if there are many other jobs where everyone seems to think they are an expert on how it all works just because they went to school or have kids who go to school.

And yes, of course there are jobs where people work harder and longer, doesn't mean teachers don't.

I've never been in a school that doesn't have an Out of School Hours Care facility, and these are always available on these days, so #1 isn't a valid argument

Ever tried booking a spot in one? We've missed out on numerous occasions, not worth a bumper on these days.

Most teachers I know would rather get rid of the bureaucrats in administration and thus most of the form-filling they have to do...
