While I don't think it has been mentioned on this thread, another 'benefit' to the SANFL I heard from a caller on 5AA this morning was that it could potentially remove the bye from the fixture.

I'd suggest we've become so accustomed to having a break every couple of months or so that it wouldn't surprise me to see all-club "byes" or split rounds programmed in place anyway, maybe a couple of "state" games.

Don't know really, certainly neither here nor there in the scope of this issue IMO.

YOU CANT guarentee what happened in the VFL and Weststar wont happen here, the SANFL doesnt need to take that risk for little to zero gain just to keep two clubs who they wont own happy.

YOU LOST ALL CREDIBILITY WHEN YOU CLAIMED IT WAS ALREADY A DONE DEAL!!!!! IDIOT!

like I said how do you guarantee it will happen here? what are centrals going to do when they lose holden in a couple of years and no one wants to sponsor them, why would anyone want to sponsor a club that has no media exposure and gets a couple of thousand to a game. The SANFL are going to be making less money next year with the power and crows going to AO.

Oh and if you go back and read you will see I said my comment was sarcasm, because apparently going by your thoughts assumption guarantees it will happen. The funny thing is you calling me a idiot because my thoughts are based on assumption JUST LIKE YOURS.

Felt I had to post this on the WWTFC FB Page.
(I will also be writing to the Club) - I implore all SANFL Fans to do the same.
This is NOT 'Keyboard Warrior' shite. Just designed to tell them how I feel about the issue & hope they respond appropriately.

"NO AFL in SANFL ...

Dear WWTFC, be fair warned, I will cease my Membership of the Club (No. 967) if you vote in support of the AFC or PAFC Reserves Teams in our competition, without the opportunity to discuss & debate BOTH the Pros & Cons.

I can NOT support (what I believe is) a deliberate attempt to undermine & compromise the great League I have supported & loved for over 35 yrs.

The AFL (expanded Victorian Competition) has successfully 're-branded' OUR sport formally known as 'Australian Rules Football', to now be referred to by many around the country, as 'AFL Football'.

The advent of the 'VFL' (destruction of the VFA), the NEAFL (both North & South), AFLNSW, AFLQLD, AFLNT & now the disruption of the WAFL with East Perth now aligned to WC Eagles FC & Peel Thunder to Fremantle FC - is testimony to the desire of the 'AFL' to minimize the support, success & prosperity of Leagues outside of their own.

The trauma of 1990 (when my former club West Torrens was destroyed) can NEVER happen again to ANY club in this State.

I love WWTFC (almost as much as I loved WTFC) but I can NOT continue to financially support the club, if you vote to compromise the SANFL competition, by supporting the desire of PAFC & AFC to field Reserves Teams in our competition.

I implore you to allow the members to vote on this issue before committing either way. We the members of the club deserve the right to reply to any so-called incentive or otherwise, offered by the 2 AFL clubs in this State.

This issue has the potential to destroy the SANFL (as we know it) as it has the VFA in Victoria. I urge you to think VERY seriously about the implications of supporting the 'push' of the 2 AFL Clubs in SA & their desire to field Reserves Teams in our competition.

I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with Club Officials at a meeting of the Members of WWTFC to hear the FACTS & terms of ANY suggested arrangements / agreements to be entered into by the WWTFC.

In anticipation of your response."

Your just showing your lack of knowledge for the league, the only media outlets who 'may' lessen their coverage of the SANFL is the advertiser and 5AA, these two give very minimal coverage of the league. Media outlets like Lifefm, 5rph, the messenger and possibly the ABC will continue to give the SANFL coverage.

Once again you are only asuming Centrals will lose Holden and if they do they will find a sponsor like the one who want to sponsor the 8 other SANFL clubs.

Once again you are not understanding there is a massive difference using asumption based on previous experiences rather than just a cowboy wild guess.

(i assume getting hit by a car hurts i assume this because of the injuries i have seen, people who have had this happen to me them tell me it hurts and the fact that its well known people have died from being hit proves this)

YOU ARE STILL AVOIDING AND FAILING TO GIVE ANY BENEFITS!!! Your just presuming your asumption is better than others.

You have shown why you are a centrals support because your out right a muppet that only wants what best for yourself. You are probably of the majority of centrals supporters that believe the SANFL was only formed in 2000. My assumption on centrals losing holden is more then likely going to be true, do you really think Holden will be in Australia in a couple of years. You can believe what you want to believe because clearly your head is too far up your arse to see any different. Funny how your such a strong supporter of centrals only missing 10 games in 10 years ( were where you 11 years ago?) but you wont supporter your club if they make a decision they think is in the best interest of your club. In other words your a piss weak supporter and don't really care about whats best for your club. If the deal does go through centrals should be glad they will lose you as a SO CALLED SUPPORTER

yet you cant give one valid reason why it is in the best interest in my club since you know everything about Centrals.

plus your track record of assumptions is awful, remember you asumed the sliding rule would only affect soft footballers who try and avoid the contest    still provides a laugh in the lunch room most days

They are signing on REGARDLESS, so if Holden go, the loss will be negated.

If they come out and give a list of reasons which are valid (example they come out and say the clubs financial position is absolutely dire and we have no other choice due to an extremly substantial amount being offered, which it isnt as far as we are aware) then i would definatly take that on board and reasses my stance.

With the knowledge of the CDFC that i have i believe there is no benefit nor reason for us to accept them in the league competition. We are currently financially stable, we have major redevlopments that should provide a nice income and you would surprised at how little the Holden sponsorship is worth these days from what i have been told.

If SANFL clubs came out and gave a reason for why they say no are you going to be willing to take that on board and look at subjectively.
