Who are the players in the country Pag?

Is there a Camplin among them?

Nah mate, not a Camplin, although Matt played some juniors with us.

The Renmark guy is a bloke called Mark, not sure of his last name. Pretty tanned skin, not sure if he's Indigenous or not. Seems to move well and have good skills.

Not quite champ.

We did lose 5 of our best 7 players last year to South Gawler because they saw a bit of money flashed in front of their face with South Gawler trying to buy themselves a premiership? Maybe that's what you're thinking of?

And for the record, only one of the five has come back to the club this year, if you call that a recruit.

I'm pretty sure he said he was at Renmark. Will ask again tonight DW.

[quote="PagThe money thing is nowhere near correct mate. We have literally no cash, none. We have a lot of themed nights on Saturdays to keep the bar ticking over, and the club makes sure everyone has their subs paid by the end of May, plus sponsors, thats it. Paying blokes just isn't an option for the club at the moment. If we tried, we would be bankrupt very quickly.[/quote]

surely u must have a few extra bills around the club???
wether that be for incentives or to get a few extra quality players!!!!

looks like a handy pick up or return with those few centrals boys, always handy when juniors that didnt quite make it come back to bolster a side!!!
Thats what happens if you treat your players right when they r young and look after them!!!
get on board the thunder train!!!

Oh we have best player vouchers like every club and blokes can have thier subs paid for them if they get a sponsor to the club, but nobody gets paid per game. That's about the extent of player incentives.

Saw Rumbelow play on ANZAC day for Districts - thought he did ok, has always had good skills, clever player.
Will be a boost for Rosewater, thats for sure. I have to admit, i was surprised he left in the first place.

We have literally no cash, none.

Unfortunately, that's been the way for a long time.

Salisbury Football Club is a great nursery.

But just can't compete when clubs with dollars come calling.

Note that a few years ago, a lot of the old gun juniors returned to the club.

After many years away.

Three grand finals in three years.

nobody gets paid per game.

Bring back Gino!

He'll sort that out...

dont know who started money rumours at salisbury.....?????
all rubbish, as i said before and will say again, loyalty is a big thing and it has been lost by alot of clubs. If you have cash good on you but that doesnt always bring sides together, loyalty and mateship does.
That's why one lad has come back from gawler way and why others venture out our way, mates or the fact they have played juniors at salisbury. always had good juniors at salisbury... that is a big to the senior sides.
lets hear your thoughts, boys!!!!!!!!

DW, try Mark from berri?????
