LOL. Why would you brag about home crowds being up before a game is played in the winter?
I haven't looked up he fixture but I'd make an assumption they still have home games to come against South, Eagles and Sturt and that they'd pulled higher pulling clubs so far.
Happy to be proven wrong but if I'm right its a very desperate spiel not at all addressing why their crowds went down last year and they'd want to be about 80% up not 27%!

How much of the increased crowds are West Adelaide supporters ?
Suppose it does not really matter but every time I go to Richmond it is about 4 to 1 Norwood supporters.

State game would bring the average down JK ;)

They were not bragging Wedgie, the original email was to keep members informed what is happening with the club. At the GM they stated that the club was going to transparent and keep everyone well informed. It is something the club intends to do every quarter I believe.

I put it on here because I thought people maybe interested to know things seemed to have improved at the club. To have clubs like West, Sturt, Port and maybe even Central fall over will kill the SANFL.

Think the average might have been in the club email

Certainly has been more West people at games this year than previous years and some games West people have clearly out numbered opposition supporters

Given the latest CRAP spewing from the PAFC re the AFL Reserves, I really want the SANFL and it's supporters to remain UNITED and Vote 8-0 to the PAFC proposal if it is ever actually tabled to the League Directors! I really hope for the likes of Sturt and West that their $$$ issues are sorted and in the near future we have a comp that has 8 strong teams on and off the field.

Focus on the negatives, none of the positives ;)

Yes all clubs have big tax bills, most of them pay them and not have the debt which Westies seem to have had.

Dutchy wrote:$225k ATO debt

no wonder the doors were nearly closed...so while they have paid this back all they ensures that they can keep trading, disappointing they have only put a small dent in the bank debt.

And you can only hope they get no salary cap fines this year

Has the CEO's contract been extended? Cant believe he survived.

Don't worry, their is a lot more debt that they know about that they haven't let come out in the open to the members yet.

And i mean a lot more.... Unfortunately our club may not be in existence within 5 years.

Most of that blame IMO has to fall on Kym Russell and also the board for reappointing him for another year after such disgusting financial figures last year.

Heard today that the concept of WAFC becoming the AFC Reserves is a REAL possibility & HAS been discussed.

Their debts are HUGE.

Well let's say West vote for it or agree to terms with the Crows, the other clubs won't vote for it given what it means for the comp and it is the League Clubs via their Directors and no one else not even the useless Commission can vote on the SANFL Comp.
