Has the ability to play in another league, wants to just stay involved with his club and his previous suspensions are related to playing so I don't fathom how you could have an issue.

so he is not rubbed out for life by SAAFL....i think many would argue that if he was a violent football player and got rubbed out for life why reward him with a roll as a B grade umpire and then to top it of be the A grade runner lol im sure when an all in brawl happens he will be involved time will tell

Strange it was interesting now. He's been running since round 1 and has done the last 2 games as B grade umpire.

Honestly I thought if you were banned for life you wouldn't be allowed to be a runner.
When you get suspended you are not allowed to have any official capacity IIRC, so surely this carries into life suspension?

As Grahaml said - he's not suspended -he's just de-registered from being able to play footy in the SAAFL.

I too would question why he's allowed to have any on-field roles as he's still "on-field", however I don't believe the rules from above are as such that allow the SAAFL to make that call.

I am pretty sure all officials have to be registered into sporting pulse, correct me if i'm wrong. I know all our officials filled out forms this year with details to be entered into sporting pulse.
If you are therefore deregistered then wouldn't that make it impossible to then be registered again in any capacity.......Don't really care, just curious for future reference.

Deregistered as a player, can be registered as an official.

This was all given the all clear by the SAAFL before round 1. He copped his penalty for his on field discretions and will have to live with the fact that even in 15 years he won't be able to chalk up a C grade game with his lad. For anyone to think it's just that his penalty should go further defies belief. The rules to deregister players is aimed at stopping on field thuggery, not to stop people being involved with football.

Lol. Long bow drawn there. I'll sum it up for you. Greenacres will have sacked several coaches before he does anything the league asks us anything about his conduct.

How do you get banned from a league if you are not a 'violent footballer'?

Sounds like most of you think there is just 1 Creek and a few of the things you're talking about sound like what one of his brothers did.

Did anyone of you even see anything he got suspended for? Or know what the suspensions were?

We're all very aware there's more than one Grahaml - and I've seen both their handy work from close up.

I don't particularly want this turned into a witch hunt though people, so feel free to continue discussing penalties for officials in general but please don't continue to make examples of particular culprits given that they're not around to give a right of reply.

Cheers
