Using that illustration only shows that we are evolved from apes.
Calling an aboriginal person an ape, in the context of historical maltreatment of subjugated races, is saying that they have not evolved.
If Darwin was racist - there would be a picture there indicating an Aboriginal before the last image of Chuck Norris.

I dont dispute that some people call Aboriginals names. My whole point is that you should not be labeled a racist if you had no racial motive behind your words. See my example on the last page.

HH3, I believe you can make a racist remark inadvertantly but not necessarially be a "racist" person as a generalisation.

Just because you are not a "racist" person doesn't mean you are excused from anything you might say though.

I know some will feel you can't separate a comment from the person like that.

I don't think I am a rude person as a rule but sometimes I make rude comments, sometimes without realising it.
