This will hurt him badly, he may be forced to resign, it was an extremely dumb and ridiculous comment to make. He should have just left the topic alone.

Turn it up. Costa leaves Eddie for dead. Frank Costa doesn't have Eddie's TV connections and he wasn't president of the club with the most fans either but we went from being flat broke and not being able to win a chook raffle to being three time premiers and significant improvements being made to our home ground. Eddie's been good (except for this morning) but Frank Costa is a legend. This bloke stood up to the Mafia FFS.

Certain associates of a certain ethnic persusation tried to put the heat on Costa's fruit and veg business. There has been plenty of dodgy stuff going on in the Vic markets for years and blokes have been shot over it.

Costa said no to 'Fat Tony'.

No way does Costa leave Eddie for dead, if you think back to how Collingwood were when Eddie took over, compared to how they are now, you'll see that at worst they are on equal footing as presidents. Who cares if Eddie has tv contacts or not, it doesn't lessen his achievements at all

If you've got coverage you've got a better chance of revival (explanation - easier to get sponsors). If you are a middle of the road side with a lot less fans it's a much bigger effort to revive the club I would have thought.

**** so that's what I'm doing wrong on this site! :?

Thats not bad lol.
But as Sam said last night he's done so much for footy, mostly vfl yes, but generally been a good spokesman for the game.
As for Collingwood he's been brilliant!

If those two blokes choose to not play tonight i'll be astounded...they are/should be playing for their team mates, coach and supporters, inspite of Eddies brain fart.

The only context i can possibly fathom, is that he was trying to relay the fact that within the team environment blokes do/say things that test the boundaries of good taste to each other. If anyone outside the team environment said or did the same thing it would be box on!
Yes im drawing a longish bow i know ;)
