Shane gepp and greenacres have parted ways after only half a season..which is a shame for the dragons.

Turk or chief...who has taken over? Would not be an easy thing to deal with at this stage of the season :(

Paul Manual our B grade coach will take the reins till seasons end. The club would like to thank Shane Gepp for the work done while at the helm.

Very approachable guy who to hear him talk loves his football.... Although he never eluded to it, one got the sense he was carrying the burden of an undermanned squad squarely on "his" shoulders.....but still doing the job the best he could.......

Now that Greenaces have sacked the coach.. will they consider approaching Chris Newman whose coaching Para Hills B grade to coach next season? Newman has always had a knack of attracting players, and might lure back those who left Greenies this year? ... just a thought..

That's what I said........It's a well worn path for the powerbrokers, that the "only" scapegoat is the "coach" for an underperforming club.
Sad...but there you have it....

Are you suggesting he was sacked due to the teams performance?
Maybe he quit?

I made no such suggestion.... in the first instance having had spoken him I gave a sense of what I felt from our conversations, and in the second instance I responded to RS with a statement of fact. Nowhere did I say this is what happened to Shane ...one way or the other whatever the case may have been.. The precedent for coaches quitting or being moved on mid season was set a long time ago....... Why.....are you privy to what happened??

I think the answer W12 is as nobody has definitively stated one way or the other, (except PG?) that if it was Shane's decision to leave Greenacres without notice, that there would have been a lot more posted on this forum than has been. As I said earlier having had spoken with him a few times he did not leave me with the impression he was the type of bloke who would "jump" ship midstream.....willingly. But..... I stand to be corrected if that indeed was the case.
