Why? Because you have pre-conceived notions about particular football clubs?

Yup..

Big call considering Flinders Uni have only beaten the four bottom teams this year!

What ongoing problem?

If you have something to say, just say it.

LOL.

Can anyone tell me what conditions were placed on Smithfield for re-entering the league? Surely they have breached them... a number of times.

Name one breach?

I dare say their supporter's behaviour at Angle Vale earlier in the year and their performance last Saturday night would classify as a breach, assuming the club is responsible for their supporters. If not, then one of their players attempting to start a fight with every man and his dog after the SHOC game earlier this year after the siren had sounded would probably make the cut.

Breach or not, the behaviour of certain Smithfield FC players and their supporters is unacceptable. I don't think there is any denying that.

Have it be known that Angle Vale has 20+ former Smithfield players, there are many supporters that attend both angle Vale and Smithfield home games, I'm unaware of any incidents involving "Smithfield" supporters at Angle Vale earlier this season.
So 1 player "attempting" to start a fight tarnishes a whole club?
Deal with facts mate, if you don't have facts to bring to the table perhaps you should refrain from commenting, heresay doesn't cut it.

If and whatever recent and past transgressions can be proven, it has not been serious enough for SAAFL to dismantle the Club. Nor do I think they have the "teeth" or desire to pursue this Pandora's Box....IMO.

It was supposed to be a special occasion but the night was wrecked by that incident. I don't know who started it or how, I just know I never want to see it again.

I seriously doubt the people that follow the club week-in, week-out would have involved themselves in this.

Also, I don't think night games are suitable. The lighting is fine for training but not really suitable for playing, umpiring or watching football.

I hope the club does whatever it can to eradicate this sort of garbage from our games.

Sad aspect of all this....is that visiting teams may not get full support from their own, because I personally would think twice before taking my kids and missus to a match where there is the potential for this to happen....Again.....2 Security Guards as normal!!!! Big clue....

Very sad indeed. The reality is it reflects badly on the club regardless.

I don't remember seeing 2 security guards at our matches before. 1 maybe, 2 no.

I haven't been to any matches there this season but I hadn't seen security guards there previously.

Whose supporters are they then? Why do they come out? :?
Is the club too intimidated to tell them they're not welcome? .. Can't say I blame them really.

I, for one, know how difficult it can be to remove unwanted guests. Have had to chase numerous kangaroos off the oval on training nights. Once, a herd of sheep wouldn't leave the hill and then there was the time I had to forcefully remove some chickens from the oval during a game. Not easy.
