WTF happened to NZs middle ordeR ?

Was watching the start of the innings and Fulton and Rutherford put on 50 odd with no problems. Turned it back on a few hours later and they were 9/122 (lost 9/67  ).
Nos. 10 & 11, Boult and Wagner then smashed 52 for the last wicket of only 27 balls and did it rather effortlessly.
Strange game cricket. :?

Hope we do our homework on Joe Root. Root is very good square of the wicket but this strength can be made into a weakness if we don't give him any room outside off stump. After recording his maiden ton he got out by slashing square at a ball very close to the body.

That replay should be showed to the bowlers many time. Every time Root square cuts or square drives for four during the series is going to make me want to throw something at the TV set.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK BOYS THAT IS HOW WE WORKED OUT GOWER, GOOCH AND GATTING. And Root isn't as good as those blokes.

Get used to these kinds of scores. Our bowlers will appreciate the wickets but not too many batsmen will have cold tea waiting for them after they get out.

It won't be the first time on tour that an Australian catches something whilst going for a root.
