There are some very good sides in this league and a lot of them played off against each other in the first round. I can see several teams currently outside of the top eight not losing too many matches. For me the main chances in this league are the Rolfsbergers, indians, class and Hammers. Bens Rolfsbergers won a high standard match against whufc by 50 points but I expect the hammers to be a solid candidate for Division III next season. In an evern better game eddieslittleindians scalped Nothing But Class and it wouldn't surprise to see these four sides go up in the end. The Rolfsbergers and indians have started their Hogg campaigns with very important victories.

At the other end of the scale there are a couple of teams that might struggle this year that also scored important round one victories. It is hard to see the HEROS or the Shed figuring in promotional battles at the end of the year and HOLLANDS HEROS' round one win could help them avoid relegation this year. That is a long way away for now though because currently they are in the eight. The same could be said of the Nutkickers who put away a dodgy Parky Cruasers outfit who appear to have gone back to their Bunny Bowl ways so far in 2013.

This will be a tough league for coaches of all aspirations so the battles against teams that are in a similar boat to yourself will prove to be most crucial in the run into the finals.

REB

Thanks REB, I like flying under the radar.
I see myself as the Fremantle of Div IV, i might not score big but i keep the opposition to less than me and mark my words, bookmark it even, i will figure at the business end of the season!!

There is a hawker amongst us (whose show is about to be cancelled after many years) who can no longer fly under ther radar after scoring a league high 2304 AND topping the table for the second straight week. Yes DAISYS DUDS are indeed a team to be reckoned with. After I talked up whufc and Nothing but Class last week daisy is no doubt delighted to be in the cross hairs as those two sides slumped to zip-two records after the second week of matches. The Nutkickers pulled off* a mighty upset to defeat the hammers who have this habit of starting the season off smartly then fading away as the year goes by.

Clark Kents have put in a super performance so far this year and eddieslittleindians have scalped the opposition yet again. Team LEO remained undefeated along with Ben Rolfsbergers who had the luckiest of victories over an unlucky FNQ Trotters who haven't won a game in Division IV or Piglet yet this season despite scoring well. I feel that the Trotters time will come soon. The Hotshots are moving up in the world. Participating in the Champions league and undefeated after two rounds in a tough Divvy IV Heater is fast learning the caper and is also one to watch.

At the arse end of the field things are looking pretty grim for the Glory Shed and so far this season The Champs have yet to recapture last year's form.

Well I don't think it was an upset reb. Been a bit unlucky first few weeks but still scoring OK. Couple of more tweaks and I'm all good.

It was advantage TSG this week in Division IV as all the places fell into place for the Nutkickers. Firstly, the kickers lived up to their name landing a painful one in the Glories to rack up some percentage to go along with the four points. All this was going on during the round where highly rated Rolfsbergers and eddieslittleindians were smashing the shite out of each other. Ben Rolfsbergers won that match by a mere 15 points and Nutkickers overtook the Rolfs along the way.

The final piece of the puzzle was provided by McAlmanac as his Blighty Teasdale showed just how dangerous they can be by thrashing the former ladder leaders DAISYS DUDS...who can now resume flying under the radar as requested by daisy. Nice work Mac. Meanwhile the luckless FNQ Trotters who have been scoring well week after week and getting done, finally got on the board for season 2013 at the expense of grandson Team LEO. Nice one Nanna!

After six rounds Ben Rolfsbergers and TSG's Nutkickers are the only undefeated sides in Hogg Division IV. When this division was seeded it was expected that teams such as the Rolfsbergers, eddieslittleindians and Nothing But Class would dominate but only the Rolfs have lived up to the scoring trends they managed last season. Nutkickers are the most improved combination in the Hogg Shield this year but a special mention must also go out to Carey's HOLLAND'S HEROS who have been cellar dwellars throughout their long Hogg history. The HEROS claimed an impressive scalp this week when they defeated the former world number one Blighty Teasdale so well done to carey who is having his best Hogg season.

Another large upset occured when ten year old 'LEO' won his match against the fancied eddielittleindians who remain one of the highest scoring teams in the this league despite the 3-3 record. LEO's Grandma FNQ Trotters won their way into the top eight after their third straight win as they displaced the team they beat this week in Duromine Dependent. Moe's Onegameatatimers have had a couple of big weeks and this round was one of them as they moved out of the relegation zone with a super win against the previously third ranked Clark Kents. whufc eased his relegation worries this week (Thanks Sam) with a thumping win over struggling Parky Crusaders. The CHAMPS managed to win with one of the smallest winning totals in the top leagues as they polished off a disappointing Glory Shed. There is another team flying under the radar but they had a sneaky little win against Nothing But Class so ssssh...secret squirrel!

The Nutkickers' show rolled on for another week with The Sleeping Giant well and truly awake this season. The Kickers are now a game clear after Bens Rolfsbergers were sensationally defeated by Moe by seven points in a major Division IV upset. With so many high scoring teams from last season in this Divison, you would have gotten good odds on Nutkickers and HOLLANDS HEROS being in the top three after seven rounds but that is the case after The Bristle was cleaned up by the HEROS. Could it be that Nothing But Class has pulled the pin and thus handed HOLLANDS the victory?

Team LEO won the junior derby with the Spideys for the second time this year to consolidate his place in the top eight but the news wasnt so good for the DUDS who were knocked off by whufc who have now strung together a couple of wins and are trying to get into the top eight. What makes it a bit harder for the hammers is the fact that the Duromine Dependent mob ( no, not Essendon) and the FNQ Trotters both won thus keeping the hammers on the outside and knocking on the door.

Parky and the Glory Shed continue to stink it up in Division IV and it will take a major miracle for both of these sides to avoid Division V next season and last year's feel good story the Hotshots have dropped the Heaters from their name and have now gone stone cold. Heater will be hoping that Nothing But Class has waved the white flag or relegation could loom for the team that only just got here.
