Where have you been? Clubs have been singing the song on the oval since forever.

Why does it bother you so much where the song is sung?

Cos they like to roar or woof or whatever they do all the way back to the clubrooms instead ;)

I think quite a lot of the time the opposition clubrooms are so small, you can barely fit all the players in there, let alone support staff and supporters who want to share in the song, so its just easier to sing it outside.

Each to their own, I say.

just does... it's my personal opinion. think it looks carp, like I said... I will refuse to do it and be disgusted if a side I was involved with did it.. but like I said my club has never done it. sing it in the change rooms regardless the size. on the oval lacks class in my opinion. But each to there own. As I said it's my own thoughts. each to there own I guess.

So it's tradition at your club to sing it in the rooms.

It's tradition at my club to sing it on the oval, has been for thirty years. Many clubs would be the same.

To say it's arrogant is ******* ridiculous. It's arrogant to think you are morally superior for you choice of location.

I do not mind it if its your home ground and you sing the song on the oval, I'm not a fan of singing it on the oppositions ground.

well you have your opinion and i have mine... you are entitled to sing the song where ever you like, YOU WON. doesn't mean i have to like it, other people don't have to agree with me, don't expect them too.. never said you can't sing it on the oval, i just don't like it or i would never do it. to be honest i hate losing more then i love to win so you could sing it on the roof of your club roof, I'd actually be a little bit impressed.

So you would walk off the oval or just stand there and refuse to sing if your team decided they wanted to sing the song on the oval????

my team wouldn't sing it on the oval... simple as that. i have stated previously my club doesn't do it. the only time i would sing it (as i mentioned earlier too) would be if our club won a flag.
it's a clubs choice to what ever they see fit, just because i don't agree with it, doesn't mean its not rite, it just means i don't like it and i wouldn't do it. everyone is entitled to there opinion. you win you choose to do what you like and ritely so. you lose you have to deal with it.

So winning a GF changes your opinion then obvioulsy? Or does it still look arrogant, shite and carp (crap) - just with shiny medals around your necks?

win a grand final.... do as you please... As i said before people can do what ever they choose to do they have earnt that rite, doesn't mean i have to agree with it.
Golden Grove did it to us a couple of weeks ago. i hated it, but they won (in fantastic circumstances) and they have every rite to do it. But i personally don't like it. It's my own thoughts. i personally don't like the look of it. Alot of other people do like it. each to there own. :D

our lads would be happy to sing the song anywhere at the minute after having lost 4 games by about 2 goals or less this year.

I have an opinion that at least one post at the club room end of your ground is crooked, just can't work out which one. distinct home ground advantage :)

yeah its got vertigo big time..its been "fixed" once already this year to..fwiw your team is stronger than last year imo..a few guys you have picked up around the midfield and wings who certainly give you more depth..both demasis playing up forward means 2 good defenders have to go to them even if they arent dominating..and your B grade are much improved..your wins will come..

Being a former winner of New Guinea Idol I always felt I'd be letting the supporters down by not letting them hear my voice, therefore it was always on the oval for us, sometimes it was just me though.
