Ah, fair question then,

forgive my ignorance, I am locked in a cage at work.

Where are the games to be played tomorrow?

Luckily Uraidla are away. So is Onkas. I think they are the closest two grounds to the fire.

Mt Lofty are home which I think would be closest oval played on tomorrow, but not close.

5 in a row, Blackwood your next."

Cheers FD, we do have our own thread. But now all clubs involved in Cs are from Central Div we tend to go here for good talk when all's quiet in the main paddocks. Nice pasture to graze on. 8) 8) 8)

HTR went looking but could only find 2012 c grade thread. Could be wrong but in light of will ask questions here.
Are Blackwood far to good for the rest of the league?
Or can Milang close the gap by the end of the season?
Where you missing many players?
Will all 5 teams finish the season?
Do you know if more clubs will be involved next season?

No not a supporter of any of the clubs but glad to see Milang back and running.

You are right YOPK. We haven't used the C Grade thread since last year.
Blackwood are far too good to be playing Cs. A huge glut of excess players ensures they have never-ending depth. Most of their players are from the city.
Milang will definitely reduce the gap in coming weeks but not sure any club can close it.
We were missing a couple of our playmakers but no excuse. We just don't play well under lights. Many of our boys work all day on the land and playing on the same night isn't in our favour.
Hopefully all 5 teams will finish the season. 3 teams are struggling for numbers but to their credit are fieldings sides each week.
C's were in doubt until the very last minute this year. There was a lack of co-ordination and it almost didn't happen. Given the right enthusiasm in the right places, more teams could be recruited and supported.
Good to see so much interest on here.

What happened with Hahndorf in the B's? According to sporting pulse, didn't trouble the scorers.

Perhaps a player count? 19 men on the ground? Not the first time a player has returned to the ground too early after being sent off, if that is what has happened here.

In other news, Uraidla appear to have forfeited the U13's on the weekend. What will the league do about this? I understand that a requirement of playing central div is that you must field 5 sides on Saturday. In the past other clubs have been threatened with relegation to country div if this occurred, can we expect the same treatment of Uraidla? I highly doubt it as we are talking about one of the "untouchable" clubs.

Imagine if it was Ironbank, Bridgewater or Torrens Valley.

As much as I don't want to see kids missing out on a game of footy because of a forfeit, I am glad this has finally happened. It was only going to be a matter of time. Now the league need to have a good hard think about what to do with junior numbers and how that impacts on the rest of the competition, no matter which club is involved.

Yep Uraidla B's very good.

Hahndorf we missing a lot of players in both grades (honestly around 12-13 in the B's) but not sure if that would have made a difference to the result. Would have helped the margin however.

Not having a crack here Armytank but what would you suggest?
I mentioned but received no answer on the Country thread that back in my day we only had u16 later u17 and u13 and so wondered if the Country teams would find it easier to field teams if only 2 grades required? Could some thing similar happen in the Central, but with the clause that clubs wanted to put extra teams in they could and play friday nights may be before a c grade game? Just a suggestion not trying to tell people how to run things but please feel free to make constructive comments.

All good place kicker, constructive suggestions is what is needed I think. And not just here on a forum but at league level.

For too long I think the attitude has been that if it is ignored, hopefully it will go away. And this attitude is easy to have because apart from population bases and proximity to High Schools, junior footy can be very cyclic with numbers, for many different reasons. The clubs that are flush with kids now may find themselves struggling in 5 years time.

I suppose what I am asking for is a discussion, open the floor up and lets hear what people think, just as you have given an idea.
