You mean the commentators at Lord's are actually talking about Eric?
Yep....................................... One of the English batsmens bat was sponsored by EPIC, the commentator thought it read Eric so they went on a rant talking about how good it would be if there was bat sponsor called ERIC!

Here is a fact for you— anyone who takes their legal advice from "a cop who works at sporting events" deserves their level of ignorance.pafc1870 wrote:Here is a fact for you, the law states that if you swear at someone inside a sporting venue, you are to be evicted. If you swear at someone once you are outside the venue, you are arrested. That's not opinion, that's how it is. Whether Centurion should have been told to take the sign down or not is irrelevant (clearly yes he had every right to hold the sign up), the fact is he was told to take it down and refused. Clearly there was miscommunication within Weslo, but if centurion was asked to take the sign down and refused, then continued to argue the point, then his forced removal from the venue was the correct course of action.

You do realise that in the modern age, there are sites like http://www.austlii.edu.au where all legislation and all case law are compiled, free, for anyone to access? There is no need for "I've got a mate, who's got a mate, who is cousins with someone who once walked past the Commissioner of Police, and so I know that you totally can't do that" in this millennium. It's all out there. I would love to read this 'Compulsory eviction for swearing inside a sporting venue' law. Go on, try to dredge it up. Or get your cop mate to dredge it up. We'd love a laugh.
Speaking of people who would be dangerous if they had a tiny amount of knowledge of the actual law, the copper's "You'll be arrested for loitering" at the tail end of the YouTube clip, directed at someone who is filming and informing Police (who, I can only guess from the funny things that are happening to the camera, have just finished committing a trespass to property and/or assault) that he's aware of his right to keep filming, is the absolute coup de grace.

The red headed policemen was certainly on a power trip.
my conversation with him was (not exactly word for word but very close)
policemen- "mate if you dont take the banner down you will be escorted out of the ground infront of all your mates"
whufc- "no probs (as im starting to drop the banner, i was in the centre holding it) but what are use finding so offensive that i need to take it down"
policemen- "are you not understanding what im saying, let go of the f**king banner or else you will be escorted out of here"
whufc- (i have now placed the banner on the ground) "now that i have i put the banner down you can move out of my way and let me go on with watching the football"
policemen- "enjoy watching you team lose d**khead"
whufc- "i would rather watch my team lose to the 7th placed side at home than have red hair mate"
policemen- (cant really repeat what he said after that point would just be full of asterix, he then walks over to Centurian and grabs him)

so you think swearing at officers of the law is ok? and if you go back and read pafc1870 post you will that my post is actually true.
I think you will find there is no law regarding swearing in public. SANFL football ground bylaws may be different. If I am wrong please show me where.
p.s. I have no problem with swearing at officers of the law if they have broken the law themselves.
