Stewart becomes a pretty important selection without LJ available, regardless I reckon the Roosters are onto something, so will tip them in a close one, 9 points.

First serious test with expectations. Will be interesting to see how the Eagles set up without Redden. Can Ainger relieve Parry in ruck or will they need to bring in Borholm or Heinjus? Eagles and North have plenty of momentum so should be a great game. A 4 point game already as far as top 3 is concerned.

If Ainger can be used as the backup ruckman that would be ideal. We have plenty of firepower available who could cover his absence if necessary. Salter, Fitzgerald, Staple could all support (the latter two if picked). We will also have Paul Stewart who could play up forward as a tall if necessary.

Correct me if I'm wrong but North's ruckman (Craig) is quite short for a ruckman but relies more on his spring. So Ainger would be able to hold his own. Bornholm is not up to league footy. Not really any need to persist with him - we've seen enough.

I am going to tip the eagles. We always struggle to contain Lewis Johnston but we seem to cover Stewart pretty well. Given Johnstone is out that is a big advantage to us. Eagles by 5 goals.

James Craig is around 6ft 5 tall so not overly short but he does have a good leap but Parry will be a handful no doubt but our midfielders have been good all year so that will be important re getting the ruck hitouts re clearances.

Re your comment LEH - I can't recall the "Crowing Rooster" for at least 2 seasons maybe more? Mind you it is hard to hear anything from the Taj!

Personally I think Borholm will come in as the second ruck. Unless the Power drop Redden .

The "Crowing Rooster" was used a few times against Norwood unfortunately. Cringe-worthy stuff.

I'd personally select Grocke/Staple/Fitzgerald (depending on who is available) as second ruckman ahead of Borholm - I think any of those would offer as much in ruck as Borholm does, but also provide another option in attack.

In the game versus South I was impressed with the rotations through the forward line with the variation of Ainger, Salter, Redden and Parry (to a lesser extent). A far different opponent this week, but changes in the forward line personnel combination approximately every 5 minutes, rather than the predictable swapping of full forward and centre half forward, caused headaches for the opposition.

Seemed to remember Stewart doing well against us in a Final. Looked it up and he kicked 4 and dominated the air against us in the 2009 Elimination Final, which would have gone some way to him getting on Port Power's list that year.

I think the Eagles would have be favourite for this one, if both sides were at full strength it would be a real test for both sides, if North can find a way to kick a winning score this week maybe we are the real deal but I reckon it will be a tough ask.

I stand corrected. Still, since then I think don't think we've been too bothered by him.

Those suggesting Ainger be the 2nd ruck i totally disagree. He is a far too important commodity to our 2013 flag chances, there is no way i want him being banged up as a 2nd ruck.

I would still pick Bourholm, we have enough firepower up forward with salts, Groeke back this week and Ainger, and may add Stewart in there too, so pick 2 rucks and rotate off the bench for me, plus Bourholm needs the experience for future seasons due to Parry's last year.

God forbid we have Bornholm in line for Parry's position once he leaves at the end of the year. My impressions are that he was picked up to increase our ruck depth. He would come into the side only if Parry and Kirk were injured. Well Kirk has gone down and that is the only reason he is getting a look in. He is not currently and never will be league standard. He is too short to ruck.

Once Parry leaves us a ruckman will need to become our priority along with a hard running, quick midfielder. The recruiting team better be hard at work. Kirk will only have 1-2 years left as well.

Definately picked up for a project player top replace Parry, Kirk was recruited for the back-line support with Greiger leaving and yes as a 2nd ruck if Parry was to rubbed out for life under the new rule.

And we have been playing without Grocke most of the year doesn't seem to have hurt us to bad either
