Who's written heccies off?

Can't see anywhere where anyone said that...

And yes..cramp.

The fact that he's a big tough bloke made it all the more harder for him to live down at the time. ;) ;) ;) ;)

Will Jacob Olsen ever pull on the boots for the Hownds again? I noticed he was cleared to Darwin over the summer and just assumed he might come back.

Also very surprised to see Craigy Walshaw with a Heccies jumper on! After almost 20 years of being a footy trainer, he remains the ONLY player I've ever had to stretcher off the ground with CRAMP.

Who's Jacob Fuller FC? haha. But no I won't be playing anytime soon. Was actually back in Adel on the weekend and caught the 2nd half of the Heccies v HV game and I must say both sides are a shadow of what they were a few years ago. Compare that Hectorville side to the 2010 GF side and there's about a 12-15 goal diff there in my opinion. Besides Pauly and maybe 1-2 others there's def a distinct lack of quality. Same with HV. Both clubs definitely in the rebuilding stage. Good to see HV blooding some youngsters though. Hopefully both can survive the drop.
Was good to see the Hounds win ;)

D'OH, I didn't realise what I wrote, that'll learn me to try and post while I'm writing up train tickets for customers

Crap, I hope I didn't put Olsen on their tickets #-o

but you're right, both very different sides. Still, Heccies are still the team that's got closest to Golden Grove, so you need to rate them just on that.

So Team Jacob is no more. that's a shame... because Team Paul or Team Luke just doesn't have the same ring to it ;)

Now cossi11 and unknown source, considering you wrote ‘get over yourself sunshine your not that good or special’, ill presume that you were talking to me which ill take as a chance to respond.

First of all its Vanderhaak, not Vanderhack but I can see why you would make the spelling mistake, numerous coaches and school teachers over the years have made far worse errors on my name but id just thought id let you know the correct spelling for the future.

As far as talking to the umpires pre game about being targeted, being called soft (by you, team mates and people in the crowd), playing for free kicks, and that I’m not that good, well I’m lost at where to start really but ill try my best.

As far as the claim made by both of you and obviously others from your football club that I went to the umpires to tell them I would be targeted, apart from being a made up story to obviously give your players a lift pre game, I’m not sure exactly how that would have helped me benefit in any way seeing as though I don’t get any favours from the umpires at all and my free kick count would be in the negatives by a long long way. And saying to me to get over myself and that I’m not that good in regards to my apparent approach of the umpires would suggest that some people from your club do think that I’m that good which is why the story was made up in the first place to try and put me off my game. Now considering that I had six shots on goal (3 which I missed) I’m not sure if that worked for you or not. Also, I have been targeted by clubs since I was 12 years old, remembering that the last time I played you guys 2 years ago I kicked 10 and average above 5 goals a game against you guys, what makes you think that I would go up to the umpires before a game just against your club when I’ve had many many more teams keep me to a lot less, some zero, rarely but it does happen.

I’m also a bit confused what you think posting it on here will achieve seeing as it was totally made by your club as a ploy to stop me game day, and its only a ploy that can work once, because even if I did go up to the umpires with the comments I was getting on the day and on here why would I be stupid enough to use it again? I don’t think your players will believe it a second time.

Ive also been called soft for a very long time so hearing from you guys is nothing new. It’s no secret to anybody that I try to play a contact free game, not because I don’t want to be hurt but because its not a strength of mine, your not telling anybody anything new. I’m not a solid midfielder who wins the balls in packs, I’m a full forward and like to take a mark on the lead and believe it or not, it’s a hell of a lot easier when my opponent isn’t on my hammer. Two of my best mates (outside of football as well as playing) are players in our back 6, and trust me they love to give me shit about not being a hard player but im not sure if you were in our change rooms after the game but they were the first 2 who came up to me and thought I played relatively well, so them calling me soft on field is highly doubtful.

Im getting bored of this myself now but playing for free kicks became a running joke between myself and at least 3 of your players during the game, and it started when I gave away a 50m penalty because your player played for the free kick, it worked for him so why wouldn’t I try it to try and get a easy kick?

Anyway, that’s all I have to say about that, your opinions don’t faze me but making up stories is a pathetic thing to do. Keyboard heroism at its best. I look forward to Playing Brahma next time because I know that I at least have the on field respect from a lot of the players and we always have a very good contest.

Looking forward to having a ripper clash against Golden Grove next week!

Go you dogs!

DodgyStrings, that was rubbish.

The first rule on here is you need to talk about yourself in the 3rd person so you can pump up your tyres like every other big deal on this forum...

Eg: that number 66 with the lace up that used to play Under 17s back in the late 90's and had the ball on a string, what a champ he was, I reckon he was superb.

The next rule is you need to say you take nothing away from the opposition, followed by about 10 different reasons why they really should not have won the game should things have been different.

The final rule is no matter how many you had a pre-season training, its the best turn out that he or she had ever seen, and to add to the description generally a figure in the 100's is sufficient.

Please learn from this, and move on.

Welcome aboard… Just to clear up I made no such quote of 'get over yourself sunshine your not that good or special' you'll find that was unknown source, I actually think I called you a quality player because I genuinly think you are, I do also recall you kicking 10 goals against out mob a few years back.

My post was trying to justify why any team wouldn't target you, you are in the divisions top 3 goal kickers so any club is going to send their best defender to you. The umpire actually approached our coach before the game and said you told him we were going to target you, that is where I got that from.

Also look forward to the rematch against the RED DOGS! Always an entertaining game, see you then!

My apologies Jabber, DodgyStrings won't make this mistake again.

And Cossi, it's very convenient that you left out all the negative pot shots you were taking in your response but that's ok. I take it with a grain of salt. Also interesting that an umpire will have any communications with either a player or any match day official. Someone is telling porkies somewhere. Either way don't think it mattered in the end!

Anyway we all move on.

If I remember correctly cossi that was on the day we had a massive shoot out. Something like 27 goals to 25 goals. Despite being on the losing end that day it was one of the best games I have been involved with. May have also been ladies day that day aswell. Could possibly be a reason why he kicked 10 that day.
