Big day for the raggies people last Saturday in there triple header absolutely touched up Mitcham in all grades. From what I saw from Mitcham they could be in trouble this year.

Anyone getting a handle on old ignatians? Have the 'old guard' moved on or got too old? Is there a road back up for them or are they destined for a finish in the lower half of the ladder?

I think you will have found the "old guard" has moved on a long time ago. Other than Pedler and White, there aren't too many older heads left. They have plenty of good young kids so how quickly they develop will determine how successful Igs will be this year...

Athelstone by 7 goals over PNU, never in the contest, Sheedy had more touches than Judd and Swan combined.

We're you at the game mate. I'd love to hear about it . I'd love for the Paynehamfalcons boys to read about it. I'd like even more for them to get a little upset about their under achievement and turn their season around before its too late

Wowee, I know Athelstone recruited but i though PNU and Seaton teams to beat. Guess I was wrong. Not unusual.

Very true FC - always have been and always will be. And given that a high % of the players are there for love not money, the passion and desire to win is probably as high as, if not higher than that at a showdown.

Crowds are often just as big as well :D

Old iggies touched unley up. A class above and unley destined to struggle first year back in d3? Iggies seem to be rebuilding and will lack consistency to be top 4.

Old scotch seem to be the giants of this grade. Has Heardy sold off the pickets around the oval to fund this push towards glory? Will they have the necessary grunt to oust Maccas men for September honors? Will they have the poise to cope with the witty banter/dribbles that emits from the balcony at pun?

Speaking to a few boys at Seaton Ramblers last night at training and they seem fairly cock-a-hoot about their chances, they can't see a reason why they would rate Ignatians after their poor start. Their fwd line is the key and shutting down the likes of Weir and White could be the solution. Any thoughts about Defusing these two Dynamites up forward?
