I got my best mate to drop the spare key off to my next door neighbour - and he managed to get the stove working.

It looks like there might have been an outage at some point yesterday but now the igniter on the HWS isn't doing anything - there is literally not even any sound of gas coming through it.

If I have to replace a bloody HWS just before I sell my house I'll be mega-pissed, it's only just short of 10 years old, I replaced it in November 2003 and I live alone so it's not like it works overtime or anything..

Yep I had that happen to me. The tank split and water was pissing out everywhere $1800 later and all good

yep, just replaced mine, lasted 10 years, water pouring out everywhere. It still worked but leaked a lot!

Hot Water Systems have feelings, so as soon as you say you are going bang they go first. I have had mine for nearly 20 years but I bet as soon as I say am going to leave bang water everywhere.

However Problem solvered- there was a blockage and some fancy wire thingys had shat themselves - so they were replaced and did a service and she's good as new.

Thank God the whole thing didn't shite itself!
