I think the AFL is trying to keep the focus on the 2 ANZAC Day games as much as possible.

It will be interesting to see what the Kiwis think of the Sydney/Saints game :)

Saints have to block out their major sponsor on the guernseys. No betting sponsorship/ads allowed in NZ

The AFL should stick to getting their house in order rather than wasting everyone's time with attempting world domination ...
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

Absolute bollocks. It was exactly this type of narrow minded thinking that prevented the growth of the game in New Zealand after the First World War. New Zealand even participated in the 1911 National Championships but in the immediate post war period those in charge of the VFL opted to grow the game domestically and an opportunity was lost to make the greatest sport on Earth an International game.

While this type of thinking can be understood in 1919 it doesn't make much sense in 2013. As far as the AFL House being in order, apart from ridiculous rule changes I think the sport is being administered pretty well.

Yeah, wouldn't it be shit if footy went international? Perhaps you should follow your own advice.

Im all for footy going international once clubs in Australia are not on the bones of their arses or being propped up by the AFL.

I don't know about international football that's a fair stretch.
But everyone may be missing the point here.
Didn't Aussies and Kiwis fight together on this day many years ago.
Why not a tribute game in each country to commemorate.
