Were you at the selection table on Thursday night No.43? I don't remember seeing you there, you should of said hello. He came straight back into the 1's after missing last weeks game.

Westies a ver decent young side that have alot of run and work hard for each other. Number 13 was BOG by a mile, very good player, and we had no one who could run with him.

Onto this week, HV in a grand final rematch on Anzac Day. Would be good to see a similar result to last years GF but I think it will be a close tough game like last years 2 H&A games.

cossi selection table aside did he say sorry to the playing group for his actions that would be a major thing to do before you selected him again not just cause the other team is fast ? did the playing group ask for some sort of punishment for his actions or you just brush it aside and move on

Was definitely not just brushed aside. Yes he had to apologise to the whole group and if anyone has had to do that before you know it is not easy. The kid made a mistake like we all have along the way and has apologised and hopefully learnt from his actions and is back doing what he does best, playing footy.

PS my comment about westies being young and fast was nothing to do with little Payne coming back into the side. It was just a comment about the game mate

Just the way you stated "daddy" put him back in the 1's made it seem like you were there. Not sure about the "it was always going to happen part", punishment was set and Payne did the right thing to earn his spot back in the side.
Sav was clearly a loss for us in middle but he wasn't the only one we missed. It is no excuse for our loss on Saturday though, we were beaten by a better more hungrier side on the day.

cossi can you clear up some things

1.did little payne put in or was going to put in for a clearance to another club but dad said no
2.did the playing group pick a punishment who decided 1 game ban was enough
3.why didnt he come back through the B grade

if you are trying to set a standard with all players regardless that punishment seems really weak

We are starting to get a little picky with the detail now aren't we?? I'll answer the first question, there was no clearance put in.

I don’t think there is any need to discuss how a club operates, makes decisions and picks their side. Each club would handle each situation differently and im sure every club would of done a much better job at it

Finished with this topic, let's move on to Round 4 shall we.
