Jeff Brown (not that I'm saying Lairdy should go but that would be the obvious replacement)

Imho though Lairdy isn't coaching very well at the moment but he has enough credit in the bag to be given the chance to turn it around!

Agree the cattle isn't there!!! But are still the structural issues as last year, the main one being the ease of which teams move the ball from kickouts against us and our lack of penetration with our own kick outs.

We have the cattle IMHO. Check out the names in our reserves week in week out.

Why certain experienced players aren't being selected is my major issue and a cause of major frustration for dogs fans every week. I love Roy but he has coached seven losing games in a row now.

Unacceptable!!!

Perhaps there is a reason these guys are playing Ressies.
Im sure Roy would pick them if they have ticked all the boxes

Yes, it might be frustrating for Dogs fans, but they are not selectors and don't know all the specifics about players pushing for selection in regards to whether they are meeting the expectations of Roy and the selectors.

Yep, spot on, Jim.

I know some of the players that Dogs fans are pushing to have in the League side are still not where the coach and selectors want them to be in terms of fitness and form.

True but just as players go through form patches and make bad decisions so can coaches, i know your not in a position where you can critise any decisions which is totally understandable but i would hardly say Lairdy is at the top of his game right now and to suggest he hasnt made any errors this season is blind loyalty.

My biggest criticism is that there hasnt been any improvement in certain structures and skill level since last season which i think can be pointed towards the coach.

Our inability to stop sides once they get on a mini roll is killing us atm and there doesnt seem to be a plan b for when that happens.

I also believe you have to be careful when 'rebuilding' especially considering in the SANFL you are only ever a couple of good recruits, a few AFL selections and a good injury run from being in the mix. Trying to do a 'total rebuild' can be very dangerous especially when young guys can be drafted to the AFL, lured to ammo leagues for money or simply just walk away from the game like Marschall.

The current selection process has delivered a 0-4 start, so have they got it right?

Where is Schiller?

Yes, that is correct, but probably more reflective of the depth, or lack thereof, in this group compared to previous seasons...

I assume you mean Jarrod Schiller? He played better on Saturday night, but is yet to find the form of last season that saw him don a State League jumper last year...

Jarrod had 28 disposals, 8 clearances and kicked 2 goals last night...

If you are referring to his younger brother Travis, I think if he keeps finding the footy in the 2's and hits the ball the way he does, it wont be much longer until he gets a League debut...

Yes. You mustn't have watched all the game then if he had those type of numbers and you didn't notice him? ;)

Yes travel with work.
Definately short of a run, only had his first training on Thursday.
Did a few good things that made you realise how good he is. Good win and he seemed to really enjoy it.
Also heard O'Brien was BOG and racked up plenty of touches at Angaston

So you have intimate knowledge of the clubs selection process you would like to share with the rest of us ????

Or are you guessing and claiming your theories as fact AGAIN. Because I believe yiuve read what most cdfc supporters think of your selection theories.

So Unless you have any facts to share please stop trying to pretend. Your illogical theories are not alleviating anyone's frustrations is all I can tell you.
