I gather you would've spent many hours in the roadhouse playing the pinny's then?

BTW....it's "norf".

Many wasted hours in there. I grew up on Crittenden Road

Hours "wasted" or wasted hours? Was that up the creek end near the camel humps or between Coventry & Peachey Roads?

Too young to be "wasted" back then. Yep main road through to Peachey Road that had the Council Chambers on it

There goes that idea then.

I always see these new housing estates pop up around Munno Para/Smithfield area but Davoren Park is just so close ;)

Ive lived in Davoren with mum when I was a teenager (went to school in the western suburbs though) and have since lived in Andrews Farm and the new development in Munno, and have had no problems at all. Used to walk about 3kms to the train station at 5am and back at 6pm in Davoren and never had a problem.

Moved down to Onkaparinga Hills for a year and a week after I moved down there had my head kicked in and all my shit taken by some wankers after I got off a bus from work.

The "norf" has a bad wrap, but I reckon 95% of people are good honest people. A bit rough, but still nice. As I say to some uppity eastern suburbs biddy at work, "just because people dont have money, doesnt mean they arent nice people".

Yep, near the shops. Did you go to school out there? West High (not that I went there but had 3 older brothers that did)?

Financial hysteria!!
Yahoo 7 headline: "$A plunges as US stocks fall"
The article said: "At 0700 AEST on Thursday, the local unit was trading at 102.97 US cents, down from 103.63 cents on Wednesday"

Reality - The $AU dropped 0.65 cents or 0.627%...
"Plunges"??

If it has not been inserted for effect in the video, it may be "flashover" which occurs when the heat reaches a level where some combustibles vaporise and give the flames a sudden flush of ignitable fuel - often Paint, orglues and oils in materials, will do that at around 1000C - IIRC from a recent TV show.

Not a biggie but sporting clubs playing before 12pm on ANZAC Day gives me the sh1ts!

Would much rather see sport played on Good Friday rather than before 12pm on ANZAC Day.

No sport on Good Friday is ironic.

I tend to agree but then I'm too much of a traditionalist for my own good.

Finding out today that my current 150 plus hours of sick leave which will continue to rise will not be paid out at the end of my apprenticeship after all along I thought any remaining Annual and also Sick leave would be. I hate being sick but don't get sick much and probably won't use my sick leave, spewing that the hours I'll rack up won't get paid out! But I guess it's the norm.

You should get sick... no offence.
