Makis yiros van.

He'll be at the game, wont he? Looking forward to sampling one of his products, if so...

There are two categories of people that eat makis yiros.
1 - tourists
2 - people who are pissed. ;)

Looking forward to seeing our front half dozen lay a few crunchers this week.

We struggled big time with Glenelg under Mickan and Glenelg gained a lot of respect under Mickan but under Massie Glenelg have become easybeats IMHO.
It might get disguised a bit this year and last with lower standards amongst a few clubs but truth be known I think Glenelg are back to their ways of the early/mid 00s.
I see a few Bays fans are coming around to my way of thinking?

Agreed!

We have really struggled under Massie's tenure. Mickan took us from near bottom to a consistent top 3 minor round team. (Still underachieved in finals, but most Bay coaches have flown that flag.)
We seemed to be on the slide at the end of Mickan's reign and on the back of another disappointing finals series he was removed.
I just wish the strategy behind the sacking was that there was someone better to take over.

Some would say you have gone from that to a team who sang its club song on the ground after a minor round win.

What's wrong with that?
EFC does that after every win.

Nothing really but it was funny to see at SANFL after a win on their home deck against a side who sitting below them on the ladder.

Anyway im pumped for this game. Kirkby out is a massive loss for the Bays, did he kick 6 in one of the games against the Dogs at Glenelg last year?

What time does the bays bistro do meals from for night games? Would a group of say 3-4 need to book to guarentee themselves a table?

Glenelg have a huge opportunity to kick the dogs while they are down, not too many teams have had that opportunity in the minor round in recent times. I hope they will take the opportunity, being a Glenelg fan hope is all we have

A few of us gave it a try when NFC played GFC and they said "no bookings".
It was just first in, first served. Suggest you go early to get a table whufc.

How long is it now since we've beaten the Dogs?

I think the last time we won was at the Ponderosa 4-5years ago?

I remember McConnell kicking a point for a draw at the Bay 3-4 years ago.

I'm pretty sure it is 2008, out at Playford Alive Oval, as you mentioned...

There was something about it in the Football Budget last weekend...

You're right Big Phil it was R12, 2008 except it was at Hamra Homes Oval, Elizabeth ;)

The final score was Glenelg 15 - 13 (103) to Central 12 - 10 (82) a Tiger victory by 21 points following their earlier win in Round 6 at Glenelg by 3 points. However justice prevailed and the universe was righted when Central defeated Glenelg in Round 18, the 2nd Semi Final and ultimately the Grand Final with the margins being 45, 29 & 42 at Elizabeth, Adelaide Oval & Football Park respectively. :D
