Is it too late for the league to step in and do something about this? Surely not good for anyway seeing these cricket scores each week :(

Both TTG A and B grade won this week. At a minimum, the better guys can focus on trying to win a spot in the magoos who seem to have some hope of winning

its probably inevitable that the TTG c-grade will fold within 10 weeks, and wouldnt it be strange to have a Div 1 side with no C-grade

#8 can certainly play Morell. What's his background?

That would be Mazey. Ex Viking who played reserves at South Adel at 17 yo. Had a serious car crash that almost claimed his life and was 3 years recovering then came to MP last year just to play with mates. Great to see him up and about again and he looked very dangerous at times. Thought you boys did well to stick to the task after trailling 8 goals to 2 at 1/4 time, showed real poise and belief. Sherwood appears to be a good coach with good structures and you have warmed to him well. :)
One of the most talented footballers I have seen at our level for Mitchell Park. Perhaps only behind a young Joe Leck, Damien Bates and the Macca twins in my esteem in regards to talent.

Now needs to mature a bit, get his body right. If he can do that and focus he will perhaps surpass the aforementioned.

You are a fair judge morell ;) from what I've seen of him can seriously play. Takes the game on got a nice penetrating kick for a lad his size and the work ethic to go with it.

Spoke to someone tied up with TTG yesterday and he informed me that they only had 8 players for their C grade Friday night and had to call around to fill a side!!! What a healthy position for a Division 6 side to be in come Round 2. Makes you wonder what they will be like come 11 or 12, and with weeks of getting flogged every game. Maybe TTG should've had the balls and withdrew their sides before stuffing everyone around like they're going to do all year.........bloody discrace.

personally ive seen teams in div 6 who were worse..the scoreboard makes it look horrible i know but they had 3 on the bench and were hard at it all day after kicking the first goal of the game..full credit to them for their effort..i saw a couple of youngsters that will be real good players in 2-3 years and the coach was positive after the game..they just have to try to add some taller more experienced lads over the year and keep the good players playing each week..its a tough rebuild for sure..nobody is denying that..

Yeah I reckon our 2010 side would have given TTG a run for ineptness. We lost to West Croyden by more from memory.

And as an aside I thought your #54 was fantastic off half back. Read the play like a book and chopped out countless Mitchell Park attacks. Also used it once he got it as well. I know we were scratching our heads about what to do with him as he didn't fall for any of the traps we laid.

Would be a handful for any team on the shorter Glandore Oval.

from the league .... not an ideal situation for TTG, div 8, div 6 or the teams that have played them ... better to do something now rather than let this situation carry on but it should have been done at least 4 weeks ago when the writing appeared to be on the wall. not sure the lack of players just arose on the eve of round 1.

1. Division 6: The competition will now be a 9 team competition with a
bye
2. Division 6: The results from the first two rounds will be null and
void and recorded as a bye
3. Division 6: Player statistics such as games played and goals kicked
are retained by the individual player
4. Division 6: Goals kicked and association Best & Fairest votes will
not be included in the final tally

How is this fair on Mitchell Park and CLG?

both clubs put players out there and risked injury (we copped a couple on saturday)

who covers football operations costs for the games that were played (trainers, umpires, players, coaches, awards)

from now on every club that plays ttg has a bye , nice and fresh for the following week, while mitchell park and clg play games and then have to back up the following week?

Piss weak decision by the league !!! Is it based on where the clubs position is in terms of there senior side. Tell me what the difference is between there results in the last fortnight and flinders uni in div 7 . TTG has made more of an impact on the scoreboard than the crabs in recent years

spineless committee bowing down to Rucci and TTG..

they are allowed to drop 2 grades because they have lost by to much and can't win?..show me a precedent for that ?

no offer to reimburse us for trainers fees or for payments to umpires, not even a phone call..

clubs over the years have had to endure thumpings week after week because they weren't up to the grade they were in and they were never given a way out..and now the league attempts to erase the 2 games played as if they never happened!

Sorry old super coach, but i had, had too many cordials last night when i posted that.

Do you honestly think the league should reimburse you for the costs of trainers and umpires? Stretching a long bow there champ.

TTG had only one team in Div 6 and is it worth listening to C grade coaches sook because the team playing TTG then go and drop a heap of B graders to play C grade for that week and dominate or listening to people complain about there B grade having a bye. League has knocked it on the head , i think you are just sooking because your percentage took a smashing!

i'd be pretty pissed if i was at either MP or CLG. That % they have lost now after the leagues decision, what if it comes to finals time and they miss out by %, or if they get relegated because of % i'd be pissed.
So all the other teams who the players got umpire votes, are they null invoid to?

As far as the premiership tables are concerned the first 2 rounds v TTG did not exist. No one has the opportunity to benefit from playing a % booster against a side that is clearly not up to standard.

Perhaps it is time that the SAAFL go down the ATCA cricket path that no club can have a 2nd side go any higher than the lowest A grade division. In football terms that means a club with a C & D grade can not go above D7. Would save a lot of this bullshit of will they go up or not regardless of if they win a flag the previous season.

Whats the alternative? Let them play until they inevitably fold? And then other clubs dont get the opportunity to inflate their percentage?

Did CLG and MP not have any match day revenue? Did no one go back to the club after the CLG played and spend money?

Did TTG nominate 4 sides and then pull one after the cut off date?
