FC you would have to ask Geppy about that

There is however no doudt that he has injected some (lets call it enthusiasim hey Chief) at the club, we have a heap of youngsters, plenty of blokes on the track and something of a buzz around the club.
We were competitive Saturday with about 10 new names in the A's and about 15 in the B's.

So all in all I guess things are OK

From my POV if we avoid relegation we should be in a very sound position next year both on and off the park.

I have no doubt we will get a few beltings this year but we will surprise a few teams as well.
Opinions and bumholes..you either have one or are one IMO

Seem to recall a Hectorville player got a taste of his own medicine last season and didn't like it...

number is irrelevent, nor do i remember.

Does the incident last year relate to spitting? if so, its disgusting and not needed.

im all for rough and tumble (gives us supporters a kick!) just not spitting on someone

So you thought it best to take a potshot at an unnamed player behind a pseudonym? I know plenty of players at Pulteney and If you could identify the player I may be able to confirm your story and provide some facts to the incident

IIRC last years incident related to a Hectorville player retaliating to a bit of niggle that I classed as acceptable in higher levels by kicking his opponent. But that was last year.

My quarrel is in relation to spitting in general, regardless of team or sport. If I had seen this same event watching basketball I would have voiced the same opinion on that forum. I'm not sure where you are leading with the events from last year? Are you condoning spitting as retaliation? This incident occurred after unnamed player spoiled a ball very well I must admit and the heccies forward hit the deck and as getting up unnamed player spat on him.

Surely there must be some sort of lead up to spitting? I doubt any of the players I know would resort to that unless seriously provoked.

Now I wasn't there but it could have been a number of things that led this to occur.

Not entirely correct .
I got spat on by a fella that played and coached at league level because I was giving him a bath in a SAFA game one day.
******* toss.

Have to agree with beeroclock, as a few years ago I was watching a div 1 game and saw a player spit on a opposition player because he couldn't get a kick. The bloke who spat was their star player and by spitting showed me what a deplorable, disgusting person he really was.

pretty solid game at the kennel... Good win by the dogs. some pretty poor umpiring both ways and a more intrigueing goal umpire decision.. but thats footy. Dogs really ran away with it after half time.. great to see some greenacres boys hang around the club rooms for a fair bit after the game...
turn our attention to a huge game next week in all 3 grades at Hope Valley. Should be a cracking day.

Gawd, how'd we get 2 home games in a row?

Just so you know, we're trialling the Plympton "slow start" - underestimate us at your peril ;)

Seriously though - the last few games at HV between us have been won by less than a kick

There are other things I'm also looking forward to...make sure he's wearing his jumping shoes 8)
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...

I know sides change from year to year - but traditionally Heccies have been a tall solid side that love to run and run and run... physically they'd be a very good match to GG.

Heccies were good. We were patchy but take nothing away from them. Some good height and seem to have a decent game plan
Short kicking game. Will be useful on there big home oval. Will be interesting to keep track of their record in the wet or on small ovals where high kick to handball ratio game plans can come unstuck. Our zones and press were good which forced them to look sideways a fair bit and created enough turnovers for us to get the ball back

#32. Wootton was there most damaging inside midfielder. When he was on top, so were they. Surprised not to see him listed in their best.

Great for us to debut a 16 and 17 year old and have them perform well for a first crack. As many as 5 to come back still might see them go back to the b's but an early taste for a-grade will be good!
