Fair call... This post by Hugh below was dated, Mon Nov 05, 2012 8:29 pm. LF I hear Houlihan is keen to play alongside his good mate Willo again.. Expect big things on the track tonight!

Callum Wilson (ex WCE current PA Magpie)???

Thought Houlihan retired due to concussion? Bit of a risk if he gets hit. Callum Wilson bit of a fall from grace. 2011 West Coast, 2012 Port Magpies and now playing Gsfl

I think you meant saved rather than spent

I reckon the ladder will be (bloody hard to pick). We could well see the bottom few winning 5 or 6 games again. Expect a real log jam from 3rd through to 10th

Creeks
Yank
VH
Willunga
Goolwa
Bays
Strath
Compass
Myponga
McLaren

Mail Medal: Rugolo Goal Kicking: Iljescen

Still saving money with all these new recruits  willow massive coin etc etc and the next mate cuming pick of the bunch luvs footy should rename to fullershit play on the math does not add up the 8 out were on this coin yeah nah good luck anyway

No Adam Wilson it's his twin Hayden that plays for us. He's skipper. Dogsbarkin you need to read the last page or 2. We lost harves and gained Wilson. Like for like. Budget is exactly the same as 2012 but really it's irrelevant. The money discussion is old. Even you blokes are forking it out these days. Most clubs have a great recruit / local talent ratio

Good win by Strath today after being an even contest for 3qtrs also I see Willunga had a big last qtr to overrun the Creek, gunna be the team to beat me thinks.

Creeks had the better of the dual up until 3qtr time but Willunga piled on the pressure in the last. A big pre season of trials has certainly not done them any harm. Write the Creeks off at your own peril though. They looked great for three qtrs and will be there again come Finals.

So the winners today were: victor, strath, willunga and just heard the bays beat goolwa by six goals after only being up by a goal at 3 qtr time. Agree with ya "bull" creek will be right up there still, they only had one trial game so obviously willunga outrun them in the last being a bit fitter. Interesting to note not one creek local in the best players!
Strath v compass game strath dominated the first quarter should have been six goals up at qtr time but let compass back in the game in the 2nd. To compass's credit they played a strong physical tight game and just got out run in the last 20 mins. Hoban is a huge ruckman for them but strath did well to contain him. Stopping pinyon and "Hollywood" parsons to a few goals helped strath. Parsons would have to be one of the cockiest players I have ever seen on a footy field, noticed his teammates today not happy with a few of his selfish plays hence he saw the bench for a bit.

Tough call think u will find if you talk to goolwa and him he left due to personal reasons which have nothing to do with footy club. Credit to goolwa to not drag out his clearance and stop him playing.

All good with harves. If there were dramas why would we rush through the clearance of a contracted player? I think he did the right thing telling us how it was. Allowed him to move forward and allowed us to use his $ and points

Goolwa were very professional in the way they dealt with it all, Harvey was upfront with them and they put his clearance through quickly to allow us to play him Saturday
