Moving on from Harvs.

Some big games this weekend in the season start.

Willunga v Creeks Willunga in a close one at home. 10 to 20 pts
Mt Compass v Strath Strath easily 30 plus
McLaren v Victor Victor comfortably 30 plus
Encounter Bay v Goolwa Toss of the coin, but the Bays at home by 10 pts.

Good Luck to all teams this week and may all your recruits stand up. :)

There best 3 are or will be playing league footy. They'll be in that middle group.

How long will Baulderstone commit to Norwood if he's not cracking league though? Been in best 2 first 2 games of ressies, but I can't see Bauldy pushing Dawe and Renouf out of the league side? Could be a handy mid season inclusion for Compass....

Was having a chat to a Norwood bloke who said he wasn't far away from cracking the 1's! You would think Renouf will be in the power side once he gets his match fitness up and keep his body sound!

Surely it would be better for his footy to stick it out at Norwood rather than head back to MtC??? I wouldve loved the opportunity to play Ressies! Play at the highest level you can!!!!

Have to disagree with u on that one tiger! Don't believe that the ressies comp would even be better than the GSFL comp and for the amount of training required it hardly seems worth it.. Yes if he pushes into the league team then I agree it would be better for his footy. I think it's great that blokes have a crack a playing some league footy but dont understand the blokes that just hang around and just play ressies, especially with the great country comps that are around these days and the extra pocket money some teams offer.. The culture in country is much more desirable IMO than the way the league clubs will treat u once they are finished with u or u have no use to them anymore..

Houlihan burnt on the track. Now we await the 3rd friend who in my opinion is the pick of the bunch.

Compass would want their big pre season recruit in Hoban to come through soon. What's the hold up?
