I know you keep harping on about having the 2 ruckman, but who is the 2nd bigman you expect Roy to select?

Crows Rookie Jack Osborn has a groin complaint and could be out for a while. Josh Wilson is still recovering from knee surgery, Matthew Claughton, who played 1 League game last year, is failing to have an impact at Reserves level and there is no other young lad ready to step up.

Not sure who you want picked as the 2nd ruck?

Despite not performing great in the reserves (no one really is) i would be more than happy to give Claughton a crack.

The structual balance and much better use of Hardy then far out weighs having an inexperienced ruckmen.

BigPhil, look at it this way

-when Hardy is in ruck we are still getting smashed in the clearances
-even if Claughton gets smashed in the rucks its no different to present and then we would at least have Hardy in defence, helping out the undersized defenders.

Being in the position at the club you are your never going to critize a single decision but next week take a real big focus on Hardy after he has done a 5-10min stint in the ruck. HIS KNACKERED!!!! His value anywhere else on the ground is gone.

Simple way to look at it is Hardy is our best forward in the club, he is also our best tall defender yet we are using him in the role which gives him the smallest impact.

Heard a funny but true comparison, would be like the Australian test side playing Michael Clarke as the second spinner in India and then batting him at number 9, its a waste of your most valuable assest.

Good effort by North. I thought North were arguably effected the most with the outs from last season, but to get a first up win at Elizabeth is a real good start. Francou seems to have North heading in one direction regardless of personnel. Impressive.

If Centrals dont play 2 ruckmen next week they will get pumped. Renouf and Dawe will have a field day.
I agree with Hammer, 2 ruckmen is a must

Don't think they have another ruckman available with Osbourn out injured (groin - O/P?)

West proved yesterday and last week against the dogs that even if you lose the rucks if your midfield is good enough you can win the game

Correct. Roy wont play a lad he doesn't feel is ready for League footy. He will persist with Hardy as back up ruckman and give the likes of Hewett and Hill to prove themselves as key forwards.

So they dont have another ruckmen in their whole club?
Play the u18's ruckmen if you have to.

Yet his happy to play kids on key defensive matchups that give them ZERO chance, Prior and Reichart perfect examples.

If we had Yves in the side with his experience and strength in the backline i would be happier for Hardy to play as a second ruck/forward but at present he HAS to be in our defence 100% of the time.

Yes, there would be 1 or 2 who could get a game but Roy will use Hardy as the back up, like I said...

Prior was dropped and Reichert had a few good moments. With the exception of Tom Collier going into defence, who would have you played back there?

Me and you could have a couple of good moments to (lol probably not). Reichart is a real goer and has a crack but he always finishes with multiple goals kicked on him.

My defence would have been as i posted earlier

C: O'Hara Williams Castree

HB: Symes Collier Goodrem

B: Nash Hardy Waldhutter/Reichart

R: Guilhaus Thomas Boyd

If Nash has been fit enough to play 3 full trial games plus one whole reserves game i find it hard to believe his not fit. A conversation another Central SAFooty poster had with him last night suggests he believes he is fit enough as well.

A little bit, but I don't think Brad Symes will play there, or at all. I think he copped a thigh strain last night. I would maybe bring back Prior into the side, depending on match ups with the Legs forward line.

What about Barmby, his now played two straight ressies games. His pace, strength and experience would be invaluable.

Central could play 21 ruck men or zero ruck men next week. Won't make a difference.

Milky was okay in the 2's yesterday, in a side that got thrashed, but think he is still short of a gallop...

It's only been two rounds but I'm missing Golden Dynasty already. :D
