Could you blokes put your team name into the thread so I know who belongs in this league? I don't know who the 'Rack City Cowboys' or 'Nothing but Class' are.

There is a fair gap between the best and worst in this division so while it will be tight for promotion spots the battle at the bottom could be just as difficult.

This league is very much the battle of the new guns and this was reflected in the scoring with five coaches topping the 2300 mark. Not too sure about what happened in the Shed but if they don't have a squiz at their line up fastish it could be a very long season for Mickey's boys. It was a top effort from the hammers though who have managed to outscore some coaches that got some very good scores in 2012....or at least that is what they told us. ;)

Does promotion and relegation go on total points or position on the ladder?

First one, then the other. The Preliminary Finalists go up. Then when teams drop out during the off season, your point score will determine if you move up. The bottom four teams on the ladder at the end of the head to head matches will be relegated to Divsision V.

Week Two Team Rankings

1 Ben Roflsbergers 4580 2211
2 FNQ Trotters 4460 2224
3 eddieslittleindians 4459 2089
4 whufc 4420 2026
5 Blighty Teasdale 4420 2119
6 Team LEO 4417 2161
7 Nothing But Class 4303 2063
8 Onegameatatimers 4299 1975
9 Duromine Dependent 4293 1966
10 Clark Kents 4276 2207
11 Nutkickers 4120 2091
12 HOLLAND'S HEROS 4081 1995
13 Spidabites 4074 2131
14 Champs 4053 2063
15 DAISY'S DUDS 4019 2014
16 Parky Crusaders 3881 2031
17 The Hotshots 3703 1929
18 The Glory Shed 3192 1796

Bens Rolfsbergers and FNQ Trotters have swooped this week in a low scoring round in which highly fancied combinations whufc and eddieslittleindians came a bit of a cropper. The pre-season hasn't been kind to The Hotshots or the The Glory Shed who could both be in for a long season.

There are some very good sides in this league and a lot of them played off against each other in the first round. I can see several teams currently outside of the top eight not losing too many matches. For me the main chances in this league are the Rolfsbergers, indians, class and Hammers. Bens Rolfsbergers won a high standard match against whufc by 50 points but I expect the hammers to be a solid candidate for Division III next season. In an evern better game eddieslittleindians scalped Nothing But Class and it wouldn't surprise to see these four sides go up in the end. The Rolfsbergers and indians have started their Hogg campaigns with very important victories.

At the other end of the scale there are a couple of teams that might struggle this year that also scored important round one victories. It is hard to see the HEROS or the Shed figuring in promotional battles at the end of the year and HOLLANDS HEROS' round one win could help them avoid relegation this year. That is a long way away for now though because currently they are in the eight. The same could be said of the Nutkickers who put away a dodgy Parky Cruasers outfit who appear to have gone back to their Bunny Bowl ways so far in 2013.

This will be a tough league for coaches of all aspirations so the battles against teams that are in a similar boat to yourself will prove to be most crucial in the run into the finals.

Yeah he's ranked pretty high in the overall Hogg points. A good one to get out of the way early. You'll probably need to knock off one of indians or Class to secure a top four berth though.
