Not quite sure who Rick Lamond is? but rest assured Mossy has the job once again, Buschy confirmed this at Virginia Oval last Sat, Jared Wilson is a selector again so it's fair to say a few boys from Hummocks wil be invited again, but there is an influx of players who will be invited, And, for those that don't know if you are selected and don't play you will be penalised and then the blokes that do play will have no time for you, so if you get picked to train, get out there, we have a proud history of getting a positive turnout for these games, lets keep it that way.

Playing in a carnival is not ideal, but when the Red, White and Black of the Plains roll out it's game on. Bring on the NE , NAFA and yorkes.

I think this is the second time the lightening carnival has been used(Stand corrected??), the first was back in 1996 which APFL won and also being the first time the APFL had won the Shield or cup?? Its not ideal from a players prespective as you pretty much are playing half a game, then an hours rest and back into it. APFL would have won in any format that year as we had gun side.

APFL probadly the best Association for sticking to its guns with reference to that rule.

your probably right, but i know that everyone that played last year wanted to play, and that is what you want, Twenty or so players that actually want to represent the league.

How does Joel Nelson go for Two Wells?

The Roosters might want to make sure his contract at the Mindarie Mines doesn't keep getting extended....

I played against him on Saturday. Don't really know him (but I guess I do know lots of people, don't I).
He's getting permits to play for East Murray at the moment as he's working on the sand mines there. Playing one week for the Tigers, then one for Two Wells. But they keep expanding his contract at the mines.
Very handy player.

Required player at the Roosters is Joely.
yeah it's been a bit disappointing, him having to work up there but he is certainly a welcome addition to our side, another of the rooster young brigade.

And yes what happened in the club rooms at Virginia after the game on Saturday night is Virginia's business, suffice to say i was there and i will not go into it, internal politics are not public business and what happened there was unsavoury but Virginia's affair.

i have my opinion of Virginia, i have said my piece on them previously, but will not go any further.

let's just see what happens on Saturday.

That's alright - one of the East Murray supporters didn't like the way I handled one of their players on the weekend, so he yells out "you stupid old man!". I'm only 30 for crying out loud!

i aint a critic of the football either, just the BS talked about in here
bennie bida had day out,big strong lad, BOG has 2 be!with the ump giving him nothing; as the scores indicated they ran out of steam but 1st half their skill level had eagles in a bit of bother virginia were faster and more skillful than last years premiers and yes they where depleted sum what but rams tenacity and attack on the ball was excellent great 1st half of footy battled on and with same commitment should post their 1 win this week

you seem to be a supporter of virginia.
is it true the coach is no longer there???????

yeah im pretty sure that virginian coach has quit from what i heard from my sources that were around sat night wheres faxu. I reckon he would have more idea than me on the issue tho.

Also heard a whisper from an APFL committee member that the balak runner was reported on saturday for deliberately kicking an opposition player. Can anybody confirm or deny this fellas?

Its all happening on the Plains!
