But was a nice day and would play there again if I've got a couple of hours to spare.

I played the friday and was dead calm. Also played at Midday on the saturday And the moonta doctor sprung up a little. For a Course that is broke, its still in great condition. We played off the back markers and found the greens fast but true. Have played the course a number of times now. and that was the first weekend it was in calm conditions. not a hard course when the wind is down
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

The local council waters it now. Before that, it was looking nasty.

Dead calm Saturday morning too. Did pick up a little as we were finishing which would have been around when you started. We ended up having lunch there, for $12 you get a massive burger with a generous serve of chips. Great little area at the back of the clubhouse with the deck and the lawn all fenced off next to it.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

drove past Pt Augusta again yesterday, every time I drive past it makes me want to play it more and more. Without seeing the whole course it would have to be one of the best country courses in SA.

Keefy and I have an Ambrose comp at TTG this coming Friday (5/4). We are now one player short so putting the feelers out to the SAFooty family to see if someone can fill the void. Details are as follows:

$60 includes green fees and lunch ($30 if you are a TTG member)
8am Shotgun

Flick me through a message if you can help us out.

Cheers.

Hardest hole a 5 not a bad effort par 4 I assume?

Low hundreds will see you on a low 30 handicapp if you are consistent

The 4th is a Par 4, reasonable long and slightly up hill and can play quite long off the back marker

im hoping to start in the 30s region

i would expect i can get down to probably a handicap of 24-26

but some holes just went to plan without actually attacking the hole as such

two holes i went slightly into the rough but blocked by trees and tried to hit low and around but i just ended up hitting the bark!

i did hit an 89 at the vines so i think consistently i can be between 89-95

having said that it only takes 1 or 2 holes to blow those out of the water

Played ardrossan a couple of weeks ago. If your over that way It is worth the time to have a hit there. It's a scrapes course but the fairways are like carpet. They use the town effluent and storm water, and its a credit to the club the condition they keep it in. A few drivable par 4's make it interesting and a par 3 that is 70 metres long over a huge gully and an oob fence at the back makes club selection and shot execution a challenge.
