Salary cap regulations breach penalty for Norwood announced

How's old Joe Tripodi crapping on about their definition of a mature players and how their interpretation of it was the cause of their troubles ..... Joe, the veteran allowance in the salary cap went out years ago, there are actally NO allowances for mature / veteran players now

Hope he has not dobbed them in for a new "admin error"

Norwood are reported to have requested a meeting with the SANFL administration to clarify the rules and their interpretation.
It appears both the 2008 "offence" and that in 2012 were both of a technical nature, caused by such issues of interpretation.

Tripodi said the mature age issue was the factor behind the Redlegs being found guilty of the salary cap regulations in 2008, when the club was found to be $17,000 over the $360,000 cap.
"You get another $17,000 over the cap for mature players and we listed James Gallagher and Brett Zorzi in that category," Tripodi said.
"But the SANFL ruled they were not mature players."
"They need to give us proper interpretations in the regulations."
