Never seen a Port team kick sideways and backward before. Long season Magpies.
How arrogant is that comment about Thomas and Renouf being "our" players. Guess this is the One Club coming out.
Not sure who will beat Norwood this year.

Id like to think no one but im a realist and im sure we will drop games this year.
Just depends if we are switched on at all times.
Its only round 1 and im fairly certain we wont come across such a poorly skilled bunch every week.
To say they were rabble would be an understatement last night.
Much harder games await us

You should apply for a job there, seem to have the requisite understanding of what working at Norwood entails.

Another clinical Norwood performance last night, Bassett really makes it hard to score against his teams. Wilson looked good for us along with the normal suspects turning in their standard excellent efforts.

Is John Butcher any good? Watching Andrew Kirwan, someone who'd earn about a hundreth of Burcher's bloated pay packet, expose him as a massive spud was highly amusing.

Yeah 21 year old key forward who has played very few games, coming off hip surgery and carrying a hand injury kicks 2 goals for a team that barely troubles the score board.

Must be a dud.

He could have been referring to his brother - he certainly has been gifted a league game simply because of the one club fiasco and he to date is a dud!

That one is hard to argue. I have a feeling he could end up being a good SANFL level player but to date is a dud.

Not a complete dud but far from the great white hope you guys make him out as.
Had the ball plenty of times in your forward 50 and he couldnt get near it. More worrying would be the fact he refused to chase and his opponent ran off him several times and set up play. You will be seeing a fair bit of him this season id imagine

Not sure who will beat Norwood this year.

and I'm not sure who will beat Port, South, Glenelg, Central, WWT, West, Sturt or North!

Glenelg get first crack next week.
Hard to judge against Port, are Norwood that good or Port that bad.

Was refering to the Butcher who played a few games for the Power, thought he was older than 21 though.

no-one has any real idea how good or bad any particular team is until after about 5 or 6 games I would think.

No arrogance at all, simply the reality.

Which One Club pays their wages? Port or Norwood?

Simple question in need of a simple answer?

Very true.
Did love the way Matt Thomas made every tackle count though. Ken and Buddha in the stands may not have been impressed with his disposal efficiency, but his attack at the ball and body can't be questioned.

That demonstrates the error in allowing the "one club" administration to come into existence.
Now, every time the Magpies get thrashed by any team using players the Power didn't use the Maggies mob will scream "foul", and "our players".
(Even if some of them were originally players for the team that just thrashed the Magpies).

Also, it has allowed the "one club" to try to cheat the system by creating a reserves team in the SANFL via the back door, just as they did in trying to get into the renamed Victorian "AFL". They have never had the good of the SANFL on their horizon.

Had a great night sinking beers and watching that demolition.
Impressive performance by Norwood with bigger tests to come but a good start to the season.
Liked the way Wilson played also Grigg, Persinos & Evans

"Our players " ? How many games have they played for the Magpies or did we beat the Power Thursday ?
Your One Club should concentrate on retaining players like the Wilson boys rather than claiming players who have nothing to do with the Magpies.
I, like many I am sure, do not have much interest in the AFL and have no accept this one clun bs.

Yes, maybe you should be asking the question as to why the mass exodus at Port in the off season.

Your post is spot on but is their any point to highlighting that when you have Port people such as Booney and Beenreal - they use any excuse / reason they can to suit their arguement. You should know by now that the PAFC is selfish to it's needs only!

Nothing against Booney in particular and Port supporters in general. Just sad that such a great club in the Mapies is now alligned to a club doomed to fail.
Hope I'm wrong and pray to God I am. If the Magpies never get back to their former selves the SANFL will be the poorer. The best games I have witnessed as a Norwood supporter 90% involved the Magpies.
