Not too many, some played reserves so were available like Dunne, barmby and Jenner. Others might be templeton and new unproven recruit potter. Williams was suspended. Nason injured.

Imho once fit players that didn't play league but are in our best 21

Barmby
Williams
Sibenaler
Dunne
Potter (will be a jet)
Templeton
Jenner
Dutschke

And throw in a second ruckmen which will balance this side alot better

Cheers. Did Dutske play reserves? I rate him highly but doesn't seem in favour with Laird

I think the Doggies lost their last three games last year, and with North, who they seem to struggle a little with, and Norwood their next two games could be six loses in a row and a 0-3 start.

Interesting to see Michael Tuck in the crowd with Travis not playing.

Conceding a ten goal quarter just doesn't happen if most players are switched on and care about their performance. It just adds to the whispers that have been floating about for a year or so that Laird's lost the players.
'People are not stupid. They know when they are being conned. And two reserves teams operating in a League competition will reduce it to a farce, a competition without a soul.'

Laird's lost the players? Not saying its wrong but its akin to saying that Nathan Eagleton didn't go to Norwood for the money.

Rob Lucas is at every West game (certainly against South). A very commited supporter.

Fair enough...

I think there was a bit of arm twisting (perhaps literally) from his brother-in-law (James Gowans) to stay at the Dogs, as well ;)

See Hart regularly at the footy with a notebook, not sure who he recruits for these days.

Josh Franco was there also but left 5 min into the last 1/4, had obviously seen enough of the dogs!

I'm not the one posting 2 different scenarios on the same night. ontherails is usually on the money. Although, I wouldn't mind believing Nash is being forced to play footy somewhere he doesn't want too.

The Gowans twisting his arm story was somewhat tounge in cheek. Trivial now, as it is all done and dusted...
