The worst PM part will no doubt be discussed debated and argued long after her term. The screeching banchee part is a bit of an over exageration.

Her cowardly speech taking the piss out of Tony Abbott was a screechathon. Listen to her take questions in question time. She whines like a bloody old fish wife. Then listen when she's interviewed in front of her trademark audience - school kids - butter wouldn't melt in her mouth. She truly is awful.

Abbott, on the other hand.... If two people are having a conversation, interview, whatever... and one of them looks bored, he's the other one. :o

If he does get to be PM (God help us all) I'm tipping he won't hold the job for longer than 12 months...

Why would we need God to help us if Tony wins the election? He hasn't helped us through Rudd and Julia's train wreck.

The talk is of a whitewash with Abbott winning in a canter over Gillard.
The Libs should be ruthless though and install Turnbull - the vote would then be an apocolypse and could wipe Labor out for 3 elections.

I don't think the Libs would risk disturbing winning trend.
I don't think there will be a move to replace Abbott with Turnbull post-election, either, unless things start to go badly after the first 6-12 months.

I agree. If they were to replace Abbott in his first term as PM the hypocricy would not be lost on the electorate after repeatedly criticicing the Rudd / Gillard leadership spill. I think the Libs understand this and would not risk a voter backlash. Their 2nd term of Government may be different depending upon Abbott's performance. People in the electorate are expecting a miricle turn around after Sept. 14th, what they will most probably get is a slow transition to a Liberal/National style of Government. I personally think big Tone will struggle to fund all of his promises within the electorates anticipated timeline and in turn will incur significant voter dis-satisfaction.

Trust me - I'm no fan of Gillard either, but sometimes the devil you know....
With Abbott I like thousands of other undecided voters have no idea what he stands for - other than wanting to be PM. He seems to me to be shallow, unimaginative and definitely untrustworthy. Put up Turnbull as leader for the election & that'd definitely get this vote. :D
