Dont know if this is old news but apparently Pooraka are in financial trouble!

Not surprised by the money they are paying to their cricketers, but at least it bought them a flag and promotion

um easiest way to clear this up with out getting into a life long story is no the club is not in any cash problems like someone said when you own pokies you are never broke

second cricket and football have nothing to do with each other at the club as in budget wise

pooraka football club own the building etc so we have assests im not sure how this all started but yeah the pooraka football club is fine

If run correctly the Pooraka footy club could be one of the wealthier clubs in the amatuer league. They have great club rooms, they own the building, and they have poker their regularly which brings in some fresh faces all the time. Unfortunately like in alot of clubs there are always one or two that ruin it for everyone which puts a club on the back foot. But I would be extremely suprised if they were in as much trouble as having to close the doors.

Pooraka Sports & Social Club own the assets not Pooraka Football Club.

Neither the footy club or the cricket club could sell any of these assets if they broke.

That is just a sh*t comment! Pooraka were a very strong and successful club in the SAFL days, and were also a div 1 SAAFL club up until 2003. No one likes to see a club go broke. Pull ya head in ya tortoise!
