Tassie are the deserved winners, don't know what the problem is.

The problem is you want the final of the premier first class comp to be exciting. Not a drag out draw. Isn't hosting the final enough of an advantage?

Its about winning the shield first and foremost. Tassie have done everything they can to do that.

If you were playing for Tassie would you want a close and exciting game or would you want to ensure you get the silverware?

Considering the way the Redbacks won their last Shield we've got nothing to complain about ...

If your asking me then of course the silverware, do whatever's required to win, if that's drag out a draw then so be it.

Cant have been too much of a road, Queensland struggled to make 200 and Tas were 5/15 in their second dig.

What about the same rules as at the moment but a neutral curator to prepare the pitch.

If anyone thinks this is a typical Tas wicket they are kidding themselves. Qld would've been a massive chance on the usual Bellreve greentop

Don't need that just make it winner on first innings. Some one will then take first innings points then if you lose on first innings go for outright and the shield.....

I think just leave it as it is. No point having this great comp then having an artificial final due to all these strange ideas of who can win and how

Precisely my point - this is artifical ie not the normal Tas pitch.

Did you not see the pitch in the last shield game they played in? It is more about the intent of the batters and the good bowling. Bloody close to an outright result as we speak. If Harris held Silk on 1 in the first innings, the game could of been different.

Biggest over reaction about the pitch IMO. And even more so coming from the queensland camp considering it wasn't that long ago they made 6/900 in the shield final batting first

Exactly
Think I read that Silk was dropped 4 times. Take Silk and Cosgroves opening stand out of the equation and Tassies score would be very differant.
Queensland had Tas 5/15 yesterday and if they finished the job they would of only been chasing 300 with over a day to play. Can only blame themselves

What an absorbing contest. Really enjoyed watching the shield final. Just wished the bulls gave it a chase at the start of their innings in 2nd dig. Tas won the rights 2 have final on their home ground, so they get 2 choose how the pitch plays. Why mess with tradition?

Getting a curator to get someone else to look after his strip is like a Biker sharing his woman. Won't happen.
