Yep, the pommie slips cordon are warming their hands up.
God help us if we get sent in first on a greentop, might struggle to make 100
Think the bowlers will go ok but the batting scares me, how long can Clarke keep saving our arse

NZ have England 5/80 just before lunch on day 2 (day 1 washed out).

If NZ's pop gun attack can do that to England, then imagine what Pattison, Siddle, Starc & Cummins could do. There's hope yet!

here is my team to take to the Ashes after what we saw in India
1 Warner
2 Cowan
3 Hughes
4 Clarke
5 Marsh
6 Smith
7 Haddin
8 Siddle
9 Pattinson
10 Harris
11 Lyon

with Wade, Bird, Starc, Okeffe, Ferguson and Doolan to fill up the squad
and Watson only goes if he can bowl but does still not guarantee him a game.

Smith, no way. His technique would be destroyed against a swinging ball. Plays flashy shots away from his body to often, good in India because he has a odd technique, Indian spinners found it tougher to bowl to him. He goes on tour only.
Starc will play, Harris or Sayers will go for cover

The same Bailey who has average about 10 this year in shield cricket? no chance.

Knowing our selectors there will not be any big changes.

1. Warner
2. Cowan
3. Hughes
4. Watson
5. Clarke
6. Wade
7. Maxwell / Henriques
8. Starc
9. Pattinson
10. Siddle
11. Lyon

Fair call on Bailey though, didn't realize he went so bad this season. Got seduced by some of his one day form.
Then I reckon it needs to be Doolan or Ferg then, only ones that seem around the 40 average mark.

Used to have to average 60 for 2 years before they would even look at you. Now you hit a couple of 6's in the big bash and you open in a test match.
Twenty twenty is a poor guide for tests. Reckon they should play it after New year, and throw in the One Dayets a bit earlier, but less of them.
