went and had a look at this game, GG are quite a big side, a lot of blokes around that 6'2 mark that can play as a big or small. was very impressed with a bloke for GG, from memory was number 5 was BOG by a mile, will be a very good side if they can get all there forwards on the park and fireing togething
i wonder if these 6 foot 2 guys can shrink and play as small forwards im hoping for 5 foot 3 if possible against us lol

Scudds did play from what I was told. Peucker didnt though.

Shane Scudds (FF) didn't play. His brother played in the guts. Good final hit out for the burras and looking forward to Brahma Lodge Rd 1.

Ok no worries Hefty- I was told he did.

A large win without your 2 best forwards is ominous for the rest of the comp. The team to beat IMO.

Shane scudds rested as a precaution. Couple more we as we'll. including Shane, 5 more will come into that side for rd1. All 5 will definitely come in as well, all easy best 21. Gonna be some very unlucky guys starting in the b's.

Looking forward to brahma lodge. If you believe what you read here, should be a game that really tells us here we are at. 2013 coincides with the ten year anniversary of the clubs first a grade premiership. The side we beat in that gf, we get to meet in rd1. Perfect scenario for a celebration of that premiership. Lots on the line for us.....more than just a rd 1 game

Agree, GG are my pick to be the benchmark this season with my limited knowledge of the division and other sides.

BL had a decent hit out yesterday afternoon against Salisbury at Thebarton Oval, we went down by about 3-4 goals in the end. Obviously the score is irrelevant but we were pretty much at full strength yesterday (not sure about Salisbury) so to run with a division 3 side on a big oval was really good signs I thought. Some nice clean footy and great movement from both sides all day.

Now to the round 1 hit out against GG, should be a great opening test for the lads.

Played against BL for a couple years now and Played GG Saturday. I think it'll be a good game for a half and then I'd expect some daylight on the score board as GG would have beaten BL with the team they played on Saturday. If they have 5 to come in Rd 1 - look out! No disrespect to BL as it's their first run in new Div

Read that Westminster touched up Pooraka in a trial on Friday night? Surely Westminster a division 6 side and Pooraka just coming down from div 3 could not have beaten them? I know it is only a trial game but seems a bit strange. Anyone confirm scores?

Had a couple missing but near full strength. Agree you were very clean and smashed us at clearances and seemed to want it more. The last quarter was the difference, maybe we were fitter but you guys seemed to struggle in the last.

No didnt get the touched up footy follower, the scores were close, pooraka did not use the ball well at all and the full forward had a shocker kicking 2 goal 7, that never helps, few kinks to iron out that the lads will be working hard on for round 1

It's hard to guage from 1 game but the BL side of 2012 are some way off the quality in the Golden Grove side we faced on Saturday, which of course means absolutely nothing.
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet

We had probably two missing of our best 21, but had three injuries during the game which didn't help.

I think Brahma Lodge will push the top 3. Their work at clearances was very good.

 and our number 1 clearance getter did not play, that is a good sign.

WOS said they couldnt field 2 sides yet they had 39 players...how i view the game was they wanted to win with max players possible and rotations they failed but they played scrappy football and we played the same but yeah bad kicking from us

Not surprised by the money they are paying to their cricketers, but at least it bought them a flag and promotion
