I grew up in Darwin and we lived in Coonawarra Naval Base. Had everything we needed inside a guarded community. It was awesome. That was in the 90's. Went back there on holiday to visit family in the mid-2000's and the base has gone to shit. My guess is that a lot of the guys are away in Iraq/Afghanistan and the yards are over-growing and stuff.

i stayed at Coonawarra for a week in 2009 -= my cousin lived there with her husband...it is somewhat run down and didn't see too many people around the place. I think they're also housing boat people there too now?

Didn't even look at any places around karama etc.

The black plastic was before my time, and I think Hart was coaching. Nearly came back out for Healy though.

Just drove past. What the news report failed to mention is the flats being next door to the crap factory, so it's got that going for it also.

I quite enjoyed my time at Parap in 2001. It was a stone's throw from the markets, and public transport was easy to use.

my sister in law's girlfriend oh sorry fiance. i rate myself being very tolerant, but the sound of her voice is quite possibly the most irratating sound on earth!!! Plus she is a really sh*t person!!!!
