If we haven't done it for the last 40 years we won't start now.

hottie wrote:Since Warne retired and Mcgill finished, the selectors have treated the spinners terribly, just expecting the next spinner to be the next great in the game,i like Lyon as he takes the chance and gives the ball alot of flight,so be it he goes for runs but what it proved in the first dig how quickly he can take wickets. Also same for the keepers saw Dujon from the Windies could bat,and once Gilchrist played for Australia they seem obsessed now with keepers who are better batsmen than at keeping.

No wicket in Australia is a low slow raging turner anyway so we are at a massive advantage with the wickets without having to do a thing different.

Normally i think people are abit harsh when they talk about keepers dropping those catches as being sitters and caning keepers over that style drop catch
BUT
That one didnt deviate a cm, went straight into the middle of the gloves and came out.
SITTER, DOLLY whatever you wanna call it that one was.

Thats as straight forward as they come off a spinner.
The best keeper must be picked and it's up to the batsmen to do their job and not rely on the Keeper batting 6 or averaging 40 instead of 20.
