A quirky stat for the train spotters amongst us. That would be the first time a von Bertouch has ever kicked 5 goals in a senior game at Prospect. As great as SANFL Hall of Famer, Terry von Bertouch was, he never kicked more that 4 goals in a senior game for North, which I have always been stunned by given his quality as a rover.

Good hitout for the Dogs and they should gain a bit of confidence out of it.

Only bad news looks like Sibenaler will miss Round 1 with some injury, Hardy went to full back and dominated that position so the Ken Farmer Medalist may play as a full back Round 1.

Positives for me where

-dominated the rucks and clearances again, this looks like an area we may excel this year
-Alan Obst close to best on ground, great to have him back and looking fit.
-The combination of Dallas Hill, Obst, Hardy, and the resting ruckmen looks like we have a few options up forward.
-Castree racked them up once again and used it pretty well CLASS
-Dave Haydon across half back was great, probably will line up round1.
-Luke Habels workrate across the ground was brilliant, his pace is vital to us.
-A tackling pressure has been great throughout all 3 trial games, we look big strong and hard at it.

WHUFC- How did you think young Josh glenn went i know he didnt have a lot of disposals but for his first league apperance i would have thought held his own and didnt look like he would struggle if he was given a chance come round 1. used his body really well for a young lad that is still growing...

yeah agree, i forgot about Glenn, as you said he didnt have alot of it but was absolute great value for possesions, looked like a 100 gamer when he had the ball in hand very silky.

While i dont think he will get a league game this week, Lairdy couldnt be critiscied if he did name him, it was a very impressive first League performance but the likes of Waldhutter, Haydon and Edmead will probably edge him out for that same position.

No doubt he will play league at some stage this year.

Big Phil mentioned it and i tend to agree was like watching a young Tyson Hay running around.
