But if it cant be played Trinity deserve the Sheild. Top all year pretty much, good on em.

hopefully this rain stays away!

Interesting day on the cards tomorrow to say the least. Grange were 2/60 and lost 8/21

Apparently PAOC were 9/54 too. So with Grange at 2/60 you'd have got fair old odds on a tie!

Will be very interesting to see how the sides elect to play it out. You'd suspect they'd want to just get on the gas and be done with it! haha.

I have been told that both teams will be declared premiers if there is no outright result tomorrow because it was a tie and not a draw.
Does anyone know if this is true ?

Personal Opinion only...

In the event of a tied GF i think it should be awarded to the higher ranked side, in the same way if the game is a draw a tie means neither team can be split so the higher ranked side gets rewarded.

I think to have joint premiers leaves both teams feeling slightly empty.....

This result happened in PDCA grade 1 a few years ago and joint premiers were awarded would be interesting to hear a few of their opinions.

Wizard of Oz may have played in that game.

A tie is a tie... No clear winner. Although hollow, dual premiers is the correct result.

Do you think the higher ranked side will feel different after being announced premiers after a tie? Would be hollow also.

Very different to a draw/wash out.

Having joint premiers would leave a hollow feeling for everyone. Perhaps a system whereby the result of the game/games played between the two sides during the season determine the outcome? Not ideal but if you aren't going to reward the higher ranked side it's probably the next best option.

A minor issue, but who would get the shield ?

ATCA can get two plaques made, but there is only one shield.

barring a collapse like yesterday Grange will be winning the game outright, they rolled them for 88 in the 2nd innings, need another 20 odd to win
