The vast majority of voters don't want either Gillard or Abbott.

At the end of today we'll end up with either the worst ever or second worst ever Prime Minister. What a disgrace and how STUPID are the Australian public for voting these idiots in.

Not if it's decisive, which I would expect.

if its a decicive win, her position will be tenable although temporariliy till sept 14th

but as i said above, if she wins today, just load up on liberal winning the next election

she is clueless

I'd vote for Rudd ahead of both Gillard and Abbott any day. It'd be nice to have an option as the current two give Mr none.

I'm very much the same... If she stays I couldn't bring myself to vote for a party led by her... Abbott is no better (well maybe minutely) but I can't bring myself to vote for his mob either...

If Turnbell led the Oppo's then I would strongly consider voting for the Libs...

Gillard with a majority vote by six or more will emerge with a huge confidence boost. If her margin is one or two she is stuffed. The challenger only needs a margin of one to take the cake and be confident.
But if he wins surely Tony will push another no confidence vote pronto and hopefully the Indies will back the Coalition.

Well he said "those conditions don't exist at the moment" then went into the caucus meeting. So now if he overwhelms them with a statement that he remains the only one in the room capable of taking Labor to the polls with a chance, then the conditions will change
