Haven't seen them do a sportmen's night myself, but heard they are pretty good value for money...

As is the book, at just $30...

Don't forget to pre-order them through the club...

I'd not heard about this book. Bit quiet on the promotional front.

Any mention of the Twin's love affair with Norwood supporters and Kris Massie ? ...... as a Norwood player not a Bay coach.

i bought a copy of the gowans book and got it signed during the launch at Elizabeth on the weekend, and i have to say ive already read the whole thing as of lunchtime today(previously i hadnt read a proper book since year 10).its one of the best, most entertaining sports books ive read ever....i couldnt put it down.

there was a lot of aspects of there footy careers that i had no idea about such as sitting in the bus next to tim watson during their time at st kilda, and i didn't realise james hated it so much here at the start of 2000 than he was trying to arrange a transfer to go back home.

loved their views on rival players too, they actually sound like they have real good footy brains the way they speak about different gameplans and rival teams, and about j sheedy, jeremy clayton, cica, todd grima and how they "Love" daniel hargraves even after hargraves kicked one of the twins during a game after one of the twins winded him with a jab in the guts! some cool insights into the inner sanctum and they come across as pretty funny guys, best $30 i've spent in a long time

CENTURION wrote:maybe they can display the book online in YOUR centrelink office, you know the one, right behind where your previous attempt at a club was, on The Parade? Come on, you remember, you had a shitty run-down market there, full of beggars & losers......so it was knocked down to build a modern facility full of beggars & losers! Centrelink isn't exclusive to Elizabeth you know.

normally a good burn......
but how many Norwood supporters actually live or ever lived in Norwood - none

Surely if you were at the launch you determined there was no need to buy the book?

I was there and I'm fairly certain between the President, the authors and the twins themselves there was nothing to be learned from purchasing!

You must have attended a different launch than the one i went to smac.On the contrary i thought the new president spoke well and gave some good snippets without divulging too much.Having bought it and now read it,I would suggest the amount actually revealed at the luncheon was in the vicinity of 1-1.5%
