Also Heard that a past club hero coached them and didnt get a very good response!! Why would a club get a coach that has commitments on Saturdays??? Anyone know who it was and wat do you think!????
The club you would be talking about was Morphie Parks and yes it was a major reason for the loss. The club knew when they appointed Flies that he was going to be away that weekend and hoped that the assistant coach would be able to get them over the line but not the case. Will still be a long year for the Roos, but with Peter back in charge the club is heading in the right direction. The players are more disipline and know if the don't tow the line it's out the door they go. The current players the club has are defenatly not super stars but they are there for the right reasons and are something to build around and get the club back on track and start climbing up that ladder. There is a quick fix and thats to go out and spend big bucks on players, but thats not what the club wants to do, rebuilding jnr grades and attracting the right senior players to the club is the way to go but that want happen over night, so hang in there Roos supporter and get behind the club, i know it's hard to read the paper some sunday mornings including this weekends, but get down to the club and help get the Roos back on track.
By the way how the fitness levels going insider? Still having a punt and a few Pints?

Didn't see the incident so can't comment, but to get 5 weeks from the tribunal it must have been bad, which makes me agree with you Mr.X, should've been 10. The penalties that come from the tribunal are harder to understand than the AFL's.
The whisper around town is that there is a Gentleman's evening at the Emu's footy club on the saturday night of the long weekend (9th June), allegedly 7 shows with a couple toplessies from 7pm, I would be there myself if i wasn't such a prude, i'm sure there are plenty of seedy characters on this forum that would enjoy the entertainment...
