How time clouds the memory :)
Those records are wrong and we have had those discussions before. It is the Goats 3rd that much I will agree with. Your records mix League and Hannigan results though.
As for a fast fit dangerous and sexy left footer kicking the ground... That was actually my first ever game and it was early in the Season against the untouchable St. Patrick's who did the double undefeated that year. The game you are thinking of was the second semi Woolhounds v ST Patricks that went to overtime with a late Mark Hilliard error costing us the winning goal.
For the record TK Shutter was a very undulating surface near the penalty line

Wolfhounds won the league in 93/94 and HC in 95.

Records probably became cloudy when the books were removed from Oneills Only's place by the police while he was told to "step aside"......wish I was making that up.

Would have done the triple if it wasnt for Ruth "Eratia" Comeys incompetant team sheet filling in costing us the 95 league cup

As for the second one, i'll leave it alone or i might not be allowed to coach the State team for free this year

Majority of those records are from the engravings on the Hannigan Cup - if someone has engraved it wrong, sadly it is now captured forever

Well the current Hannigan Cup is less than 6 years old and believe me you would be glad it was changed with the things that I have seen happen to the old one. But yes the fact is that it is engraved incorrectly.

Incorrect is being polite. How about creative? If we want to talk about the great teams, regardless of amount of HC wins (God bless Betty and her vision) how can we not discuss St Patricks or the previously deleted/removed Blackrock? Maybe I just imagined that era...

A scary bunch of dudes that were also talented. We thought they were going to forfeit against us one day. A combie van rocked up right on game time and about 15 guys piled out followed by cheech and chong...

Condolences to the family of Richie Walsh on his passing. A good man who was president of the Gaa of Sa for many years in the 1980s. My first couple of SA Minor trips as a kid would have been unaffordable if it wasn't for Richie emptying the coffers to make sure minors travelled for next to nothing....a legacy that bore much fruit. Vale Richie.

2013 Australasian State Gaelic Championships are to be held in Sydney this year from Monday September 30th to Sunday October 6th. SA is sending a Womens, Minors, Ladies Camogie and looking to confirm interest in Mens side.

Steve Francis from Western Ireland has put his hand up to coach with assistance from John Butters O'Leary and James from St Brendans. Next step is to get the commitment from enough to send a team

At this stage we need to confirm interest from enough guys to progress and send a team. If we can get to this stage we will then arrange a meeting where a plan for training and hopefully sponsorship and fundraising. If not enough interest SA will not send a mens side which will be a disappointment especially with the Championships being held in Adelaide next year.

Approximate cost at this early stage is $750 which includes accomodation, ball ticket, playing strip, bus and laundry of playing kit. Airfares will be the responsibility of each player and would be on top of this figure.

A facebook page has been established which has further information. If interested or you want to find out more details please contact your team manager to pass on to the State Association. Alternatively contact John Floriani (jonflo9@hotmail.com) or Matt Doecke (mdoecke@raa.com.au).

Interest must be registered by friday next week so pass this on to anyone that may be keen.

Congratulations to Steven 'Toasty' Clay on going back to back to back by taking our Port Districts 2011/12 & 2012/13 B & F.

Ricky Wisemen had a great second half of the year to finish runner up.

Brad Dittmar stole the show though taking home the 'Fisher/Dittmar' medal for 2012 and Most Improved for 2013.

Hopefully a few of the Port boys can make it onto the state trip for the first time in the clubs history.

A few would definately learn a great deal from the experience and provide some great entertainment as well.

I believe Clay has actually gone back to back to back, Cash.
And are you going to commit to the State Men's side or not? If they're short on numbers I'm sure you could get the 3rd placed runner up in the U21 medal, Rhys Holloway, to go along with you.
