I've got quite a good Sharp DVD/VHS player four years old so can I assume this would have multi region options or comparability?

Technobabble. Grrrrrr. I'm trying to buy a boxed set of dvd's on eBay and when I find exactly what I want and go to buy it I get a warning that it is a Region 2 set and Australia has Region 4 compatibility. Dead end

Why would that stop you?

Buy a cheap DVD player from Dick Smith that has multi-region compatibility. We had to do this because my wife is a foreigner.

Don't bother doing that... put the model number of your DVD player into Google and it will give you the way to turn off the zones and make it multi-zone...

Easy as... you will need the remote though...

I thought it would start late afternoon, so thought I could at least play B grade then shoot up to Mt Compass for the party. HOWEVER, I read the invitation the other day and found out it starts at 11am.

i sorta in the same boat as you. sister in-laws engagement party is on the same day as our last trial vs edwardstown. It starts at 4 which isn't to bad, but being the B grade coach i kinda have to (i want to) hang around for the A grade game. Well that's what i'm going with anyways.

Yeah it would be worse if it was during the actual season, but being the last trial before Round 1, its when we're playing for our spots. If I have any chance of making the A's for the start of the season I pretty much have to be in the A's for that trial, or play well in the B's.

Looks like it'll be niether at this stage. We'll see how I feel closer to the day though
